Slimani and Fuchs rightly in there. Fuchs was outstanding throughout on Saturday, both when defending and also providing quality in an attacking sense, he's one of the best crossers we've got, and Saturday proved that with the service for Slimani's first.

Slimani was great too. Held the ball up ever so well, brought others into the game & bagged a brace. Very promising.

fuchs, drinkwater and shinj in garth crooks team of the week. the write up on fuchs is extraordinary.

So imagine my surprise when with Fuchs dispensed with his normal activities, fastened on to a loose ball on the edge of the opposition box and let fly with the most glorious left-footed volley you will see this season.

It also signalled the end of Crystal Palace's dismal afternoon. I wonder if Champions League experience is providing players like Fuchs with the confidence to attempt things they would have never dared before?

fuchs has been a regular free kick taker and clearly has good technique, it's not that surprising he's bagged a decent strike. as for the last paragraph, lol. he's played loads of champions league games before you jerk.

Garth Crooks has Okazaki, Drinkwater and Fuchs in his.

Fuchs' comes with a funny quote, Garth loves telling us all that he knows **** all about footy every now and again.

" I wonder if Champions League experience is providing players like Fuchs with the confidence to attempt things they would have never dared before? "

Christian Fuchs has now played 30 Champions League games.

Vardy in Garth Crooks team of the week interesting comments on CR:

Quote

The lad is back in business. I haven't seen Jamie Vardy look so menacing for months, or midfield team-mate Riyad Mahrez for that matter.

The hysterical nonsense that accompanied manager Claudio Ranieri's departure from certain pundits, who frankly should have known better, was alarming to say the least. Leicester's triumph's last season was a monumental 'team effort' and not Ranieri's victory. Nothing destabilises a dressing room quicker than when players detect that the manager has suddenly become 'big time' and starts to 'tinker' with the magical ingredients that created the success in the first place. Managers are nothing without players - a feature that will not be lost on Ranieri as he sits and watches the team produce the goods again, post his departure.

Vardy was devastating against Liverpool in midweek and the team was just as impressive in the 3-1 win against Hull. With Ranieri gone, they now look certain to stay in the Premier League and they can now also afford to gamble in the Champions League. That's because Leicester have finally got their priorities right. The Premier League is what it's all about, and if it took players like Vardy and others to make that case to the club board, then good on them.

Not usually a fan of Garth, but his "hysterical nonsense" comment, perfectly sums up the guff that's been spewed over the past 10 days.
