New Leicester Book

Brought this today on Kindle. Early days but liking it so far. Already learned stuff I didn't know.

EDIT:

Very well researched it would seem. Some detailed stuff on NP's back room overhaul, the Ranieri appointment, the Kante transfer and Morgan's upbringing on the Meadows.

I really have to recommend this book. About halfway through now. There is much behind the scenes detail here, very interesting.

We read detailed histories and back stories about Albrighton, Vardy, Morgan, Kante, Mahrez and Huth (so far).

Like @stripeyfox, can definitely recommend this. Within just a few pages you're getting information we've never heard about, the "team behind the team" section is very interesting and we get a great look behind the curtain. Quite a bit about Paul Balsom, who we never really mention on here but he seems to have been absolutely critical to our excellence behind the scenes.

Some interesting comments from people linked to other clubs and it really explores our excellence in all departments, and what has made us winners. Rather than the tired cliches you get from pundits and writers who don't know anything about us.

I'm about half way through this, and I think it's excellent. I particularly like the funny stories from behind the scenes in the changing rooms. Few mistakes though - it says Vardy missed a penalty at Hull in the cup shootout when it was actually Mahrez, and also says Chelsea were away at Swansea on the opening day when they were actually at home. Only tiny things though and I would still very much recommend it!

Noticed a few little mistakes myself, massive one being the owners were "sponsors" of us, before they bought us.

Read it all last night. Very interesting behind the scenes stuff.

One interesting point was that while Walsh pushed hard for Kante (which we already knew), Ranieri pushed hard for the Inler and Benny transfers. Not sure that bodes well for Mendy. Although he had no qualms about dumping them after seeing they weren't as good.

thought is said they came over to become potential sponsors but MOF convinced them to buy the club

It says £20 in WH Smith for the actual book yet on the website its £13.60 i believe. £10 for the ebook.

So it's a lot different to The Unbelievables? Assumed it would be pretty samey so didnt think much about it.

It sounds totally different. I didn't have any access to the club for interviews etc so mine was more from a fan's perspective and about the emotions involved. It sounds really good, looking forward to reading it.

I've read both and they are both excellent, but very different. It would be unwise for anyone to compare them. Just buy them both!

Finished "Fearless" last night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's impossible not to fall in love with Andy King sitting in school and getting a text from his mum that "LEICESTER WANT TO LOOK AT YOU" and being thrilled whilst still annoyed that his mum only texts in capital letters!
