Never played it before and have just got through the second dungeon in Links Awakening

Love the Mario stuff in it haha

Link's Awakening also made me rage at the Switch 1 as the frame rate was absolutely abysmal in places. Will have to go back and enjoy it without stuttering.

Absolutely no stuttering experienced so far on the Switch 2!

Is the battery life really as bad as some claim it to be?

I've watched a video and a full charge apparently lasts more than half as long as the one on the Switch 1 OLED model (playing Fortnite straight through until the battery hit 0%; 2 hours and 13 minutes, compared to almost 5 1/2 hours).

About to start finally playing through my other Zelda games

I have played through BOTW, TOTK, Ocarina, and Majora's Mask but I have bought all the others on the Switch but never got around to playing them:

Links Awakening

Skyward Sword

Echoes of Wisdom

and now Wind Waker

All 4 are great Zelda games.

Skyward Sword is good but i remember there were parts of the game where you go to some different realm and have to collect items in order to escape. However when you collect the last item and the portal opens to escape all the enemies charge for you and if they touch you you die and have to start again.

That shit scared the life out of me. I havent returned to the game since it originally came out because i hated those areas.

Echoes of Wisdom is an enjoyable game. A lot of flexibility in solving puzzles which was cool.

However, Wind Waker is by far the best of the 4 games. Love the art style, the map, the boss fights (boss fights are everything to me in any Zelda game).

I notice you havent mentioned Twilight Princess, for me the best of the lot.

No its not available yet. I really hope they put it on the Gamecube section but knowing Nintendo they will release a HD version at £70

Loving the Knockout tour in Mario Kart, but is it really not possible to join a friend online and then both enter a room to play against other randoms online? Only option we’ve had so far is to join a room together which is then filled with AI bots. Am I missing something? Massively disappointing if it’s not possible.

Links Awakening finished with all heart containers and secret seashells collected! Been off work so could fly through it haha

I can see why this might be a popular Zelda game, very much in the style of a "standard" Zelda game and the dungeons are fun yet the whole game isn't too much of a pain

Shame I died once so missed the secret ending in the credits but oh well

Now onto the next game... Wind Waker I think!

Honestly to be able to play the Wind Waker for the first time again would be a dream. My brother is currently playing it for the first time and i am jealous. Though its nice that i am able to help him out when he has got stuck and unsure of what to do.

EDIT - A word of advice, make it common practice to open up the map every time you get to a new part. You will understand what i mean when you get to it. Its well worth the effort. Also collect as many rupees as possible. Dont let any go to waste. You will understand why later

Only played MKW and Fast Fusion so far, but must say what a great game Fast Fusion is. Absolute bargain.

Looks great, so fast, and decent soundtrack. Brought back many memories of playing the early entries to the Wipeout series in the mid 90s.

Looks quite fun

That looks a lot more fun than the original trailer! Will probably pick it up if it reviews well. Has it been confirmed that it's made by the same dev team that made Odyssey?

I watched a youtube video of someone reviewing the game and he said that the people involved in making it were also involved in Odyssey.

If DK plays anything like Odyssey then it should be a brilliant game. I cant recommend Mario Odyssey enough. In fact i need to replay that game

Cancelled my pre-order of DK Bananza about a month ago, just looks like mindless smashing walls and lobbing crap around. Still have Pokémon Z-A on order as I need a Pokémon game but haven’t played any consistently since Gold/Sapphire and Clover.

Was really enjoying Zelda TotK first play through before the week started and work took over.

My daughter has asked for a Switch 2. What's the difference between the first one?

Not much at all. I'm already bored waiting for more games to come out on it.

Looks like Donkey Kong Bonanza is a must play from the reviews it is getting

Got three weeks off work now so decided to buy it on the back of those reviews. Very fun so far! Not at the same level as Super Mario Odyssey, but still great in its own right. Kids enjoying it too which is always a major plus.

For people with a Switch, I’ve never owned or even seen one before.

What would be the youngest age you think you could get a child playing the sports like you used to on Wii sports? Even if it’s just throwing a bowling ball down an alley.

With winter coming I need to find some more entertainment.

I play Mario with my son who's 5. I absolutely batter him, but he has fun with it.

I was tempted to get it for Switch but I think I'll wait until I get a Switch 2 to give it a go. Does look half decent based on the reviews ive seen
