Never really been a Nintendo guy, besides playing small bits of Mario 64 as a kid. Quite alot of the Gameboy era early Pokémon games but again child age, but their modern interpretations look crap now and definitely aimed at children.

 

Still finding myself slightly interested in this, not sure why. Have a Series X which rarely ever gets played on any more despite having Gamepass and loads of games I've sunk thousands of hours into, I just don't have the time now. Don't have any kids to entertain with having Switch in the family either.

 

I'd probably pick up the Mario Kart World bundle and give it a go to see if I like it, but if I don't then it's looking at seeing if I could make money from reselling it early on.

 

Nice to have a backlog of new games to go through which would be easily accessible, handheld and trendy. Just maybe it might be worth waiting for more games to come out which could interest me and the inevitable OLED version.

 

Probably won't get one.

if i pay for the DLC is that it , job done? Or do i also need the NSO membership to go with it ?

You can pay for it and have it forever. With NSO+Expansion pack is free as long as you have that subscription.

Pretty sure when my Switch 2 turns up next week the first thing I will be doing is playing the Gamecube games

Cant wait to go through Wind Waker again. 

 

The one game i pray they release is Skies of Arcadia. Still up there as one of my all time fave RPGs ever. Such a great story and characters

Gonna be hard for me to decide which one I actually want to play first, I have four on my list at the moment:

 

Wind Waker

Super Mario Sunshine

Pokemon Colosseum

Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness

I really hope they put Star Fox Adventures on it as well

I'm another one who'll be all over that GameCube app on the Switch 2. Love the cube, ever since I picked one out the window display at Gamestation on Granby Street and took the magnificent purple brick home with a copy of the Resident Evil remake on it.

 

They've made some nice picks for the list of titles announced so far, the Pokémon and Fire emblem titles cost a bomb for original copies these days so it's a nice way for lots more people to get a chance to play them.

 

Would love to see some of these get a release as well:

Eternal Darkness is possibly the most underrated game ever.

An absolute gem of a game. Still annoys me that Fox Mcloud didnt get another go at a 3D world game. Would love to play it again.

 

The 4 games you listed above are my exact list also. Never played Colosseum or XD and as someone who still loves a Pokemon game i hear good things about XD

 

Annoyingly with Paper Mario Thousand Year Door released on the Switch this wont appear on the Gamecube list. Have you played that? I would argue that is one of the best Gamecube games ever.

 

Also give me Metroid Prime 2 & Super Monkey Ball

There's a couple of other Monkey Ball games on switch, Banana Blitz which is a hd version of the Wii game, and one other which supposedly was better (Banana mania - I never played that one). Banana Blitz gets quite cheap (£5) when it's on sale in the shop.

Get on the N64 games on the Switch and play the first Paper Mario. Id have it up there as one of the best Mario game series. As a Turn Based RPG it works really well.

Feels like a very nice piece of hardware. Mario Kart is brilliant, tonnes of fun. My kids have already yelled and screamed at each other so everything going as I expected.
 

Had a quick go on the upscaled Zelda games and the difference is staggering. Looking forward to get properly stuck into the console but first impressions are pretty good.

Town still had the bundle in stock. Could also have bought Argos vouchers at a slight discount to take 5% off.

Yeah, know that feeling. My worry is the postie has figured out what it is and I'll receive a message later this evening saying 'There has been a problem with your delivery'.
