"..., the French international told Goal". lol

What a pile of ****. Absolutely speculative and illogical reporting. Just anything to hype La Liga and desperately trying to link Mahrez to Spanish football.

huh? apart from that mistake, the article is basically just directly quoting Riyad from this interview....

Yes. Simply focusing on the parts that circle around Spain/Spanish football - for obvious reasons. And that's what I meant.

I found the last bit rather telling:

Since helping Leicester win the league last season there has been plenty of speculation linking Mahrez with a move to LaLiga, so these recent comments will surely fuel that further.

If you can't allude to it, just be straight about it.

Was Stringer making more of it that it was or is there any truth in Ranieri giving him the 'cold shoulder' when he came off?

That added to the fact there were reports last week of him throwing his arms in the air and couldn't get down the tunnel quick enough after the match.

A few people may have realised i've been a big advocate of dropping Mahrez and i'm still going with it. I love him, one of my favourite players, he can change games, but more often than not this season he's pointless, how long can we wait, give him a game or two on the bench.

Besides Gray has to be given time soon.

I'm sorry but his performances have been woeful. He has no interest in passing unless Slimani is on the pitch, infuriating.

Or he have no interest in passing to a player that is not willing to make runs to open space. Or pass to players that can't play proper football. At least he is showing some end product

End product? You mean he can score a penalty.

Agreed re the runs today but what about last week? 3 on 2 and he wanted to knock it in the top corner rather than set up an easy goal.

Vardy had a word with him in the first half for not passing to him when he was in space and would have been through on goal.

Holds onto the ball for to long and often loses it by being crowded out when last season he would of passed it, do not know why he is being like this unless he is starting to believe his own hype?

Seemed half-bothered at times and made a few errors in terms of judgement.

At the moment I prefer Gray who his more direct approach.

I watched ranieri when Mahrez was hooked off as I sit over the other side and he went back to speak to an assistant at the back of the bench and ignored Mahrez. He didn't shake his hand at any point which is unlike Claudio. I think Mahrez then disappeared off the bench before the end of the game so it's probably fair to say that there'll be a few words said in private!!

Let's be honest if he went on January we wouldn't be missing much apart from his pens

Not for me. You can stop watching him but don't talk for the rest of the world.

Ranieri probably had far more pressing issues on his mind at the time.

In his multiple recent interviews, Riyad has been very complementary of Ranieri and also has pretty much been echoing Ranieri's comments on the team's form.

I'll close my eyes for 5 mins per game that should do it

Yeah, do it and stop your propaganda. It is getting ridiculous.

Hey here is some more "propaganda"

In 356 minutes of Premier League action playing together since September 17, Mahrez has only passed successfully to Vardy on just one occasion.

Indeed, taking into consideration the whole league season to date and Mahrez has found Vardy with a pass just 9 times

I think he needs certain players to make runs in order to create chances.

Vardy looks to be carrying an injury and is clearly not running with the same speed and intensity as in prior seasons.

The lack of a proper pre-season schedule is catching up with us - I feel it would have been better to stick to what we did the previous summer rather than participating in that pre-season tournament.
