Don't mean he will even be in the 18 they always take 21/22 players.

We have 3 places to fill in the 18. Who else are we doing to put in there?

Bernie, cousin Dennis and Leon Crnic.

Simpson Hernandez huth chilwell

             Mendy Drinkwater Ndidi

I like this.

I imagine when Mahrez, Slim and Amartey are back they will rotate with Musa, Mendy and Vardy. with Morgan obviously in for Hernandez, and Fuchs for Chilwell after they have rested. it does look like we have the players fot 4-3-3.

I hope you guys can provide a full rundown - who played well, etc, since I am in Australia and cannot watch this at all (which is awful, considering I am really looking forward to seeing Vards/Gray and hopefully Ndidi play)

Drinky won't play as he will be 'cup tied' as I reckon he's off, doesn't seem to have his mind on his game for City in the last couple of months of this season.

Up the City :scarf:

or or to see them play in the team? :D

lol

I literally have no idea what type of side the two teams are gonna put out today?

What with the league form and the Champs League, I can't see Don Claudio giving the FA cup much priority?

I hope he takes it seriously Col

the FA Cup is the trophy I now most long to see Leicester lift

will blow away the cobwebs of our history re the FA Cup anyway

in reality we will play a shitty half arsed team as always and go out with a whimper probably lol

I think it depends as much on the team Everton put out. If they play a full strength side (they aren't in any European competitions I don't think?) we'll probably get beat.

Im with you, I'd love a trip or two to Wembley in the FA cup.

I think this is a nice selection.

However, I think from what we've all read about Ndidi, he seems to be a centre of the park type of player. I think play Drinky and Mendy either side and it would work better. Just not sure how Drinky would enjoy his new position.

We'll put one of those teams with a some first team players which means large chunks of the usual first team squad don't get a real rest, but also leave enough out to significantly weaken us to the point we don't really stand a chance of going through.

CR really needs to use this competition to get the players eye in again, there's no reason to put out a second string team because it'll just give him 1st team selection headaches.

I had a very positive feeling about the fifth round tie with Villa two years ago and in spite of our struggling league form, it felt like we could go all the way. That was a great draw and the round was there for the taking. We all knew that the team had huge potential Fortunately Pearson arrived without a plan and utterly bereft of anything vaguely in the way of coherent tactics or strategy which pretty much summed up his morass at the time. Kramaric was completely marooned - (he did astonishingly well to score that header) - and actually spent most of the game dropping deep, Konchesky was more preoccupied with his post match foray into the epicurean delights of Birmingham with the missus, Mahrez was obviously on mushrooms and Schwarzer's blunder for the first goal was straight out of the 'Spider' Kalac school of erratic goalkeeping. The only City player who was looking remotely convincing was Wasil who in addition to hitting the woodwork had been a wall, and Perason took him off. We conceded a minute later.

I say fortunately, because in retrospect I can't help feeling that had our cup run continued it may have jeopardised the great escape and ultimately the title last season. On the other hand, within a little over a month of that dour encounter, Leicester became practically unbeatable so we may even have won both within a year. Unlikely though since Huth (who was so instrumental in our upturn) was cup tied and I'm certain a trip to Wembley would have detracted from the focus on survival.
