Thracian Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 There's such a strong case for so many it only emphasises the depths of our problem.
Skippy Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Drop Drinkwater, it's like 12 vs 10 with him in the side at the moment. His infrequent long balls usually go to the opposition or out for a goal kick, his remaining passes are short and pointless, he treats the ball like it's a sexual disease. I've noticed he hardly ever looks up to see where team mates are so usually passes it directly back to the one who distributed it to him. Often he gives it away cheaply to onrushing opponents because he doesn’t look up/around, it’s like he’s plays with a sack on his head, so frustrating to watch, especially seeing his mardy arse face fuming at others. And of course we all know he can't shoot for toffee and doesn’t offer any running attack threat like you’d expect from someone so highly paid in his position. When I think about it he plays his current game like a very poor DM but he’s still relied on to be our creative CM opening up the opposition. It’s bizarre, how on earth did he lose all ability to play the basics. Anyway rant over, Ndidi is our creative workhorse in mid, DD is more useless than the others in the poll.
vanity Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 It has to be Vardy. It is not necessarily his fault, but the attack f'ing stagnates with him up top at the moment. We play an unwatchable brand of football where we count on him to make impossible runs. We need to get back to basics, and allowing some of the younger players to start will help with that. Obviously our attack is far more cohesive when the youngsters and new additions see the pitch, and a huge part of that is Vardy is out so we stop booting the ball 50 yards down the field only to lose possession what seems like EVERY SINGLE TIME. His presence has become this weird crutch, it while it is unfortunate that he should pay for the poor strategy and lack of service, eh, that's the most effective way to get the team back on track IMO.

Agreed. Rooney has picked up a bit but at one point Man U played him constantly despite him being dead-weight. That is what we're doing with Vardy right now. Rooney has been a much better player than Vardy has ever been, but Rooney came back from the bench and looked better. Vardy just continues to play and imo is looking more and more like the biggest one-season wonder in football.
foxy boxing Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 can they not just draw straws to see who to drop!

Spiritwalker Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Huth seems to be costing us in the last few games.
Wymsey Posted 13 February 2017 Posted 13 February 2017 Dropping Mahrez would make things much worse, there would only be Gray in terms of creating opportunities.
norwichfox Posted 16 February 2017 Posted 16 February 2017 How high can we drop them from? I'd be inclined to make it from a great height and try and land him on a couple of others....Morgan aiming him at Huth and Simpson
Bayfox Posted 16 February 2017 Posted 16 February 2017 For the last few weeks, I've been wanting rid of morgan, and maybe vardy, at least if we had slim and smacked long balls, it would look like plan A was, play like wimbledon of the 80s and I still feel Huth made morgan look better for a period of time, maybe alongside amartey who at least has some legs, we could get away with Huth. However after Sunday, and mainly when I saw the interview after, if it was 1 right now it would have to be drinky, he looks shot, physically and mentally, I know that can be aimed at most the players, well the mental part anyway, but he can't even pass it 10 yards to feet at the minute. At one point he had the ball, not 1 player with 12 yards of him and he didn't drive at the swansea players, he can't beat a player and can't pass past a player. He looks ****ed.

Chico1958 Posted 16 February 2017 Posted 16 February 2017 I wouldn't drop any of them I'd say you keep playing until you win.........Train everyday But you won;t be playing in the prestigous CL games You can stay home and train with the kids And watch what you've done to the City on the box. I'd also block all media interviews They've had the Carrot perhaps it's Time for the Stick
foxinsocks Posted 16 February 2017 Posted 16 February 2017 Vardy must step aside..... can slimani seize the day?
