Its not even May and the Vultures are on the horizon

Got to love the press and pundits. Mahrez to Arsenal is an old one but its like a fishing float, bobs up every couple of weeks. Latest is Schmeichel is too good to stay at Leicester now he has proven he doesn't buckle in the Champions League and that Ndidid is definitely going to get picked up by a bigger club. Its going to be another Summer like last, lets hope the board bring in some decent defenders this time though. We could probably do with some counselling off Southampton on how to cope with a new team every Season if the 'we used to play for real club' pundits get their way.

Alternatively, bird shot may work?

If Mahrez goes then Gray will get the starting place he's demanding. Players come and go, it's nothing new.

The only thing on Ndidi I've found is the Nigerian manager saying he won't be here long

Thats because he's off to the AFCON obviously!

Got to assume that there won't have been the low clause in Ndidis contract that there was in Kantes. So at least if he does get snapped up we'll be able to use the money wisely to replace him.

But then we are stuck at square 1 again, who would we replace him with?

Well again I've got to assume our scouts are thinking further in the future than you or I and have that eventuality covered. I genuinely hope there's no clause and we can just tell any potential buyers to bugger off but it's all just speculation

What scouts? Until about 2 months ago we have no scouts in Europe, only 5 full time and one part time across the globe.

If Mahrez leaves we have Gray as a ready made replacement. As for N'Didi, no chance is he going anywhere in the summer. Mahrez is the only one I can see leaving this summer and I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him stay.

N'Didi will be here for one more season, maximum.

We've got to pull our finger out and be aggressive in this transfer window after the last two passive disasters.

1- Hold onto our players or demand astronomical transfer fees (most have been here for a long time and Shakespeare seems to command enough respect for none of them to throw a paddy).

2- Sign some genuine quality, particularly at the back.

3- Ride the crest of the wave that our end of season run will generate, and take advantage of not being in Europe next season to win the league.

I know everyone is saying Gray will come in if Mahrez goes but i wouldnt be certain that Gray is going to stay. Will be some big boys looking at him and he comes accross as the type of lad to chase a big team move.

Out of everyone...keep Ndidi

Not very confident that gray could step up as the big dog, being fast and dangerous is good, being efficient and clutch is a whole nother gravy. Gray has talent but, I would like to have an already mature player to replace mahrez.

Yeah, I think people underestimate just how good Riyad is. Gray is far from Riyad levels at the moment. Mahrez'S left foot is one of the best in the world.

I definitely expect to lose a few this year given many have shown they can do it in Europe. But life goes on and we'll adapt.

Will be a shame to see some of our heroes go though for sure.

yes - would you rather buy mahrez for £40M or grey for £20M?  We need to sort out a long term contract for gray (- I can only hope that rudkin didn't put a release  clause in his contract when he cam from brum)

Yes we need to keep Ndidi (- I can only hope that rudkin didn't put a release  clause in his contract when he cam from gent)

I wonder why no one tries to poach rudkin?

I have posted before to say we need to manage the structure of the club independently of the first team coach - to do this rudkin must step aside.  THis readsliek I have a downer on him... I jus thibk he is in the wrong job and by him being there we can't improve our club... Top... are you listening?

And I said "clutch" for a reason, we need a player that can just win you games with one moment of magic and I don't think those players are laying around ready to be picked, for all his downsides, mahrez is a game winner and I don't believe for a second that gray can win the team as much points as riyad.

As scout that is ready to take gray instead of mahrez because it's £20M cheaper needs to be fired, immediately!

Sterling went for £50m and he's got worse footballing technique than schlupp so gray is worth a lot more than that. Unless we go down.

I have a feeling Mahrez stays other than a Chelsea offer .I think his family and home situation is good here money is great plays every week for club and country.

Just  a feeling

I have to disagree here, sterling>Gray, no doubt. People hate on raheem too much. Imo He played great the first game against Monaco and no one said a thing.but, he didn't preform as good in the second game and people started to get on his back again. Man is a great footballer, maybe he doesn't have a consistent end-product but he is a very good footballer.
