Guest Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 Weird. The daily mail seems to be pretending the election doesn't exist. Presumably so it doesn't have to report on the tory train wreck. Headline is currently some filler about parents that make their kids do strange chores.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html Obviously if you don't check this quickly the deadline and lack of election will have changed

I'll condemn any illegal action that happened, I've never been in favour of the death penalty. So condemn those events - in isolation. I'm sure you were one of those calling for Corbyn to condemn the IRA in isolation, and not just condemn all bombings....so do as you preach. You might have been a child when the Birmingham 6 / Guildford 4 were imprisoned (as I was), but they remained in prison until about 1991......15-16 years banged up for murders they hadn't committed. There were highly publicised campaigns for their release - people like Corbyn were involved (correctly this time - unlike with his support for Troops Out and an immediate united Ireland). Let's leave this pointless debate and return to 2017, eh? I really am logging off for a while now. Cheers!

Quote John McDonnell has been slammed as a 'thug' over a video showing him praising rioters who 'kicked the 'sh**' out of central London. The shadow chancellor hailed the protesters who wreaked havoc on Conservative Central Office in 2010, smashing windows and hurling missiles at police, as the 'best of our movement'. In another piece of footage, Mr McDonnell - then a lowly Labour backbencher - is seen telling a rally in 2010 that he felt like using 'physical violence' against rival politicians.

Edit: I unreservedly condemn the wrongful imprisonment of innocent men. It is not only evil to do so but pointless in the fight against crime. I also condemn any deliberate death of innocent people caused by our police or army.
Guest MattP Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 McDonnell really is an evil ****, god knows what he would do if he could get away with it. Frightening he's close to a job in the four great offices of state. According to the Times just 2.9 million watched the politics on Monday - 9 million watched Britain's Got Talent instead - that makes me weep

Guest Kopfkino Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 I'm doing some work with ITN for the results night coverage. Just got in from a first rehearsal, was fairly interesting and good fun actually. I don't think they're anticipating much change from 2015 at this point

Jimothy Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 Gotta admit that's a pretty decent opening statement from Farron
Guest Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 15 minutes in and the tories and rudd ate being a battering. The crowd seem to be against then at this stage too...

Get yourself on Twitter and Facebook and you'll see that the BBC are totally against Corbyn. They're biased against them all it's a disgrace.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 Where's the criticism for Sturgeon not being there?
LiberalFox Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 Well it's in Cambridge, middle class remain voters etc.... We have a target seat there so it's good if he's coming across well.

All the same as TM.

The Floyd Posted 31 May 2017 Posted 31 May 2017 This 'debate' is entirely pointless. The panel is too big and every question directed at Amber Rudd results in incoherent rambling by the others as they try to squeeze in the most sound bites.
