Amazing how often people say they want Andy King to go, lumping him with the dross.

He is Leicester City. There's no way we're going to sell. OK, he doesn't set the world alight but he does a job and chips in with a few goals. It says a lot that he has been pretty much the only constant at the club for the past 10 years.

How such a loyal servant to the club can be treated with such disdain is beyond me.

Personally I think he's a championship midfielder at best, the guy has had a good career but for me it's time to move on

and I should point out even though I don't rate him and I don't think he should be playing but when ever he plays I always support him unlike some of the fans towards certain players

Selling Mendy, Silmani, Amartey, Cabbage would be a fool's errand.

Musa just doesn't seem to work, but I wouldn't be moving him right along if there's a plan.

We're going to be making moves we don't want to have to make anyways, I suppose.

Clearly Musa has been the biggest disappointment of all the signings mainly because of the huge expectations and the huge fee paid for him but he hasn't even shown glimpses of what he is capable of, a few goals and good touches but no consistency what so ever. we just haven't seen enough of Kapustka to make a decision either way while Amartey still has some way to go to convince but sticking to a position and working on that would be a start. if we can bring in a replacement for Ulloa I'd be happy to see him leave!.

Slimani - Keep, best part of a £30mil investment. Yes we wanted to see more by now but the guy's clearly talented and I do think he'll get there. Difficult as a striker to come into an underperforming team and has had limited chances since January. Decent goals to game return should give people reason to massively doubt selling him.

Kapustka - Give him preseason and then loan him out. Think the kid's got something, we just need to help him step up. We could sell for reasonable fee now, but a decent loan spell could add to his value or help him be ready to play for us.

Musa - Was excited to land Musa. Struggling to see what he brings to the party. If we can recoup some/most of the fee, I'd take it.

Amartey - Keep. I like him, I wouldn't make any decision on selling or loaning him until at the earliest, late August. Give him pre-season, or maybe until January, to work on his weaknesses and then re-assess. Far from the finished article but far from a write-off too.

Ulloa - Think he's done. His non-inclusion in the match day squads where we have big injury problems suggests so. Can see him moving back to Brighton. Hopefully we can pull in £5-6million for him.

Seems that everyone agrees with me…. It's nice to  have your own insightful options validated by the rest of Foxestalk - thank you

Wrong on those in red. We're not top half PL as well.

Never a more fitting screen name.

Slimani - get rid, in the right place at the right time often enough, but an abysmal conversion rate imo, just misses too many sitters.

Kapustka - Keep, future star

Musa - Get rid...but If there was a loan option I would have opted for that, there's some potential there.

Armatey - Keep, will come good nest season

Ullua - Get rid, hes given us some memorable moments, but  time to upgrade.

I would add King, and Hamer and Zieler to the outgoing list. I've not seen enough of Mendy to form a decent opinion about his abilities.

Of course our new manager may see good in all of these players, can't wait to see who it's going to be lol

I'm surprised so many are against Musa staying (especially the hype to get him last season), I thought it would be more mixed.

Im not Musas biggest fan and has been hugely disappointing this season although he has shown some (rare) glimpses of what he is capable of. First season in a new country, division, team etc I think he has really struggled but hopefully last seasons experience and a pre-season to build on we could hopefully see a better player. I'd say give him 6 more months and assess to keep, loan or sell then.

Looks like we'll be starting with a smaller squad than Hull did this season then

Don't agree with Matty James and I'd suggest we need to keep Slimmo or Ulloa as our lumbering lanky cart horse option. We've had a tradition of having at least one player like these on our books since the days of Sticks Ormondroyd and 'Super' Colin Gordon.

If all 5 of those players left I wouldn't be particularly bothered, though I'd want all the 30 million back for Slimani.

Kramaric has done well in Germany and letting him go so quickly could still come back to haunt us, I don't want the same thing happening with Slim.

Now he's has a year in the premier league and there's no AFCON and he'll be more used to Leicester/wherever he's living in this strange country to him, I think he'll be great next season and a lot more prolific.

But at the same time if 30-40 million offer came in for him from China or wherever I'd sell.

Why can't we loan out Musa? I'd keep Slim since he's been our goals per minute played best striker, let Ulloa go for first team football elsewhere, and loan Kap, Amartey and Musa to the Championship unless Vardy leaves and in which case I'll try Musa in Vardy's role although without Mahrez we can't really afford to throw wingers away.

How such a loyal servant to the club can be treated with such disdain is beyond me.

And still as reliable as any for keeping the ball in a crisis with 20 minutes to go. His achievement record is absolutely outstanding. Seems like the professionals - including a succession of managers - rate him far higher than the fans, and wtih good reason in my view.

As for the question generally, who we ditch is related to who we sign and I wouldn't necessarily be in a hurry to shed any of those players. But then, as a former coach, I sometimes see situations where we don't get the best out of people and I'm certain that's the case with a few, if not all, of those listed.

Sometimes too it's a case of the player not fitting the team rather than the player being no good. The trick is to find ways of seeing they do fit in when the chance arises.

There is no disdain from me,

and there are many players that are a higher priority to get rid of.

At the same time however, the fact that he has being getting paid a fortune by us for 10 years I don't think is reason enough to keep him.

The question is: is he a top ten PL player?

If not...get rid and replace with someone who is.

This is the formula to progress to where we want to be as I see it.
