davieG Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 I thought I would never play again, admits Leicester City's Matty Jameshttp://m.leicestermercury.co.uk/leicester/story-30351317-detail/story.html
Fox92 Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 Welcome back. Shame that the stupid registration rules wouldn't allow us to play him in meaningless games at the end of the season. That would have been nice for everyone to see him in a LCFC shirt again.

Even if he was back I doubt Shakespeare would have played him. Seemed insistent on playing all the regulars unless his hand was forced.

That best team would have included Matty in at least one of our last 3 games when both Drinky+King were out.
RumbleFox Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 God, I'd almost forgotten how beautiful he was. Welcome back Matty, hold me. X
MPH Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 Quote James is now driven to have his four week-old son Jenson I see what you did there, Rob...
foxy boxing Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 really great to see him back playing after such a terrible injury, hopefully his progression will be swift without any setbacks and see how he does after playing regularly with whoever that will be!

It would have been a great if once their season is finished, we could have included him in our final games, but we couldn't.Read more at http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/harvey-has-desire-and-real-hunger/story-30352565-detail/story.html#S0jQ6WKHd5SbgWpT.99
Countryfox Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 Look at that face ... the guy is chomping at the bit and ready to roll !! Welcome back Matty !
LCCFox96 Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 Think Shakespeare's permanent appointment would be the best thing for James. He was highly thought of by the backroom staff under Pearson and had captained the side on occasion (think mainly pre-season friendlies but still speaks volumes). Shakespeare would probably afford him the most time to get fit again, rather than a new man at the helm. Hope he makes a full recovery back to where he was as he had a decent first season in the PL.

Although I have a tendency to over rate some of our own, In the championship i always felt he was our most accomplished player. He was the 'yang' to drinkwaters 'ying'. I genuinely believe he will be a first teamer again, and also think he has the qualities to be a future captain. Plus the mrs says she'd 'peel him like a banana' Who wouldn't want to see that???

lgfualol Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 Hope he watches the BBQs this summer break - he's just got fit again.
dmayne7 Posted 24 May 2017 Posted 24 May 2017 As somebody going through ACL rehab, I can sympathise with him to an extent but his road to recovery and mine (and probably most people's) are chalk and Cheese. Granted, this is his livelihood but he is set up for life. He sounds incredibly lucky to have the circumstances around and the speed/quality of care he has had. Still, good to see him tough it out and was chuffed to hear he'd done so well at Barnsley. Be good to see him pushing for a starting spot.
