Replacing Mahrez

Personally speaking I wouldn't mind a  £25/30 million + Oxlade-Chamberlain deal for Mahrez, replacement sorted then and enough money to put towards Gylfi :)

The Ox at City would be amazing but not sure it would happen.  Definitely could start as RM or even behind Vardy in the Shinji role.  How happy can he be to be LWB for Arsenal?

Some interesting Mahrez replacements on here. I wonder if we will continue with 442 / 4411 or mix it up a little?

After seeing him a few times, I'm not sure he'd do it in the prem. Just looks like a slower version of Mahrez and not a lot of variety in skill - very much like knockaert. Although his end product looks very good, henceforth such high chance creation stats, just not sold on him.

A mate was working over there last season and managed to catch a game, and came back raving about this guy. For that reason I started watching a lot of his games. The amount of times he skins a full back and puts in a quality cross is unbelievable, even against some of the so called better teams. I could see Slimani benefitting big style from his supply. They obviously know each other as well, which would help.

Hoping we don't sell Mahrez to Arsenal.

Surely he wants champions league football?

would rather he went to Chelsea than Arsenal. At least I could justify this to myself, that he left for CL football.

If we can get sigurddson in (which I'm personally doubting), and a pacey winger with half decent delivery, I think we could even be stronger than with mahrez.

If he goes, I'd quite prefer for Gray to try and establish himself more.

He's trained with Mahrez almost daily for the past season, and will have learnt a lot about what makes Mahrez stand out well and therefore has that additional, and key, insight and knowledge in how to get the best out of their position.

Think its going to be a big season for Gray but do worry he's too inconsistent and too greedy at times.

Hopefully we mix it up a bit... would love us to go 5-3-2, really think this formation would bring the best out of Slimani & Vardy.

Sign 2 centre backs, Adrien Silva & Sigurdsson.

Put Albrighton at right wing back n we will be lethal & far from one dimensional.

I have already mentioned Lucas Perez. Well underused by Arsenal.

However buy some time and get Patrick Roberts in on loan

For some reason I always get mixed up with Patrick Roberts and Patrick Bamford, suppose just because they're relatively young and both called Patrick  All I know is one of them is a bellend, my money's on Bamford. God, i'm bored.

Hasn't the Ox just signed a contract extension at Arsenal?

Arsenal offered him £100k p/w and he's happy to sign it. Nothing official yet though, but it looks likely that he will sign a new contract.
