Midd Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 OK so we all know that Mahrez will leave us sometime soon (good luck and thanks for the fantastic memories) but what about potential replacements? i know we have great wingers in Albrighton, Gray and, by all reports, Tom Lawrence, but a player that really impressed me at the KP this season was Hull City's Kamil Grosicki. I don't think they will be able to afford to keep him this season and would be a good fit for us, any thoughts?
wattolcfc Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 I heard there’s a decent one at Palace, Jeff something or other?
49er Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 Grosicki is a decent shout, although I would like to think that we are aiming higher than that. I would love to see Perisic here, but looks like Man Utd are interested. Tadic would be a good addition. Maybe Knockaert.

AS78UK Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 Knockaert is loved in Brighton, don't think he will comeback now. Despite that he will be cheered when he returns to play against us....well at least till he scores.
foxes21 Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 Wouldn't mind a couple wingers from La Liga, to compliment the signing of iborra. Pablo Sarabia, Samu Castillejo or Jonathan Viera
Finnegan Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 We can't convince Iheanacho and Sigurdsson to come here and people think we're going to be in the market for Ivan Perisic.

The level of the Club's ambition will be shown in the coming weeks. With the money from the Champions League, Mahrez's transfer and the £40-50m net that you would be spending in any case, there could be a significant sum available to invest in top class players.

But by all accounts, we'd be competing with Man U. There's ambition and then there's West Ham levels of delusion.

The problem is we're still Leicester City. Can we actually persuade real quality top class players to come here. The signs so far in this window say we're struggling.

Buzzell Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 We're not big enough to be buying world class players ffs

Will1981 Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 will be interesting to see if we sign any wingers if Mahrez leaves, if we do not it looks like we will be playing 352/532 with wing backs as we will not be able to play 442 with only Albighton and Gray in the squad.

Ian Nacho Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 Think we need to get a left winger because then it allows Albrighton to move back to his natural side so he doesn't have to cut inside to get a good cross in.
