brucey Posted 13 July 2017 Posted 13 July 2017 Just reading around on the Stuttgart forum.. - RRZ is still extremely highly rated in Germany, most of which stems from being a non-playing substitute goalie in the World Cup winning team - We played hardball for weeks and made it really difficult for him to leave as we wanted to sell to another club - Apparently we had offers from PL clubs to take him, which probably offered more money than Stuttgart - The fans are slightly confused by the transfer as they've spent a decent chunk of their transfer budget on a non-priority position - Their previous no.1 keeper was so terrified at the prospect of RRZ taking his first team place that he came back from holiday a week early

One could come to the conclusion reading this thread he was the next global dictator or something. It was on his debut, he only had few days to acclimatize and a strike like that isn't something you pull off that easily.
