Unfortunately we have an electorate who are so stupid, they voted 10 years ago today to put economic sanctions on itself, caused uncontrolled mass immigration and created a small boats crisis; and when they finally have a Prime Minister who is provably solving those problems, they don't even ****ing want it.

It's almost as our media and social media is controlled by tax avoiding traitors delivering relentless lies and distortions to a captive and easily manipulated populace.

Wait wait wait. Have we rejoined the EU without me noticing????

Small boats crisis - fixed

Mass immigration - fixed

Growth the likes of which the other G7 countries can only dream of - fixed

If Brexit was the cause then the only solution must have been Brentry but our foreign run right media aren't reporting it! 🤬

Do you want a ban or what?

Which terror laws has he changed unthinkably?

In what way had he set the framework for an end to freedom of speech?

I see no evidence of either so I'd be interested to know what you are thinking of when you write these things.

There's this

Me neither

If you’re responsible for banning me re Keir crying then I just wish you had done it earlier on something much more controversial, I’m sure I’ve slagged off the Welsh at some point

Do you genuinely believe this?

Why do you two never come up with some arguments that are rationale and true?

It's all laughing emojis, pick one thing then move to another or, as with Kenny here, be internally disingenuous.

We lost approx 6% of gdp due to Brexit. So that's a drop and then we continue on growth, but it's still permanently 6% less than it would have been. That's £120bn each and every year.

Why not come up with an honest explanation of why that doesn't matter if it doesn't? Instead we just get nonsense posts.

For the record, that was a joke. I was playing on the fact people keep assuming I'm a mod at the moment.

I do have some limited mod powers and I do use them in Transfer Talk. Despite vowing I wouldn't (to myself, not to Mark) I have tidied up a few bits and bobs here and there in the main LCFC forum but really just stuff like duplicate threads that people have posted by accident or whatever. Nothing controversial.

I haven't moderated a thing in General Chat since I was a mod the first time round about, what, 15 years ago or something? Christ alive we're all sad aren't we.

I have no interest in doing so either. The posts I've made in the Forum Support section I made purely as a forum user giving my own opinion, not speaking on behalf of the site or it's staff.

Oh and for the utmost clarity, my powers are limited to editing posts (including thread titles, it was obviously me changing the title of the Jordan Ayew thread), locking threads, pinning and unpinning threads, recommending posts and hiding both posts and threads (I can't even technically delete anything.)

I couldn't ban anyone if I wanted to and I definitely wouldn't ban you Tommy, you're part of the furniture. We disagree a lot but I don't think that makes you a bad person. We're just obviously very different and that's fine.

You're describing many posters on here, not just Tommy and Kenny

To be clear - I said Starmer was solving those problems, which is categorically true, not that they were already 'fixed'. Brexit and 15 years of conservative ideology will take decades to properly recover from.

Rejoining the EU at the earliest opportunity is the best thing this country could do for itself, aside from exiling Farage. We all know it's inevitable so we might as well get it over and done with.

People really need to understand the state of things when Labour came to power. The sheer scale of the problems they inherited across all sections of government as well as the greatly diminished source of money and resources to deal with any of them. Austerity, Brexit, a botched and criminally liable COVID response, COVID fraud and corruption, Liz Truss, and Sunak's second recession cost us incalculable amounts of money.

It’s hard to because when you don’t toe the line of left centre you just get banned - so it becomes a bit pointless?

Can you get me a new font? Nothing controversial like WingDings, just Courier New.

I don't know, I'm pretty left of centre and I can't post on the other thread any more.

(All of us) Need to find a way to talk without doing whatever it is that gets us banned, I suppose (all of us should) make the conversation more factual and honest, rather than having a little dig at the other side.

This is what should be aimed for, yes, however (and pardon my cynicism) we appear to be living in an era where facts are often no longer heeded even when explicity proven, at least at the individual level.

Immigration down 80%.

Small boats down 40%.

Better deal with the EU.

Best trade agreement with the US.

Stabilised the economy and turned it into the fastest growing in the G7.

£700bn inward investment on infrastructure.

NHS waiting list down with an extra half a million appointments made available.

Saving millions of families thousands on childcare, expanded free school meals to another half a million kids and increased breakfast clubs.

Reversed the ban on onshore win, accelerated renewable energy projects and improving UK energy security.

Biggest upgrade to workers rights in a generation.

Biggest upgrade to renters rights in a generation.

HMRC increasing tax income after finally collecting taxes they should have been collecting.

Closed loopholes used by our biggest tax avoiders by making them pay inheritance tax.

Knife crime down 10%.

Biggest sustained increase in defence spending since the Cold War.

He also found the one and only benefit of Brexit which was to put VAT on private school fees, which for some reason made Brexiters even more angry.

The disrespect and hate he gets is genuinely baffling. He's easily been better than Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak, Major and Thatcher put together.

Shows how bad he is at image management. All of that is true (although I don’t see everything as fully positive), Breakfast club policy for example, only existed because he had to be dragged kicking and screaming to scrap the two child benefit cap; which was the actually correct policy choice. Breakfast clubs are broadly a waste of tax payer money that do next to nothing to alleviate child poverty, and they only exist as a sticking plaster because he didn’t want to end the cap initially.

The fact the above is true, and I, a moderate who should like him, still thinks he is a bit a shit, tells the story. I have no social media, I read pretty much only the Financial Times and watch no TV news, it’s not like I’m lapping up crazy biased coverage. He lacks personality, isn’t a leader, he lacks conviction. His biggest achievement is arguably the scrapping of the two child cap and that was forcibly won by his party, against his wishes. He would lose the next election guaranteed, imo.

He has failed, at least in part, because he failed to lay out what he stood for to begin with, it allowed people to fill the gaps themselves with what they thought he stood for. His public image is an absolute mess. I’ve never seen a politician with such a bad public  image that was in many ways avoidable, even in a hostile media landscape.

That all said, I’d still have him as leading (for want of a better word) the best government since Blair, just about, but that is an extremely sparse field of competition. Everything since 2008 financial crisis has been pretty much a disaster.

But when you are getting banned for opinions, and not being personal with someone it’s a bit meh.
