No idea what his past results have been like, no idea what style he plays or if he would be suitable for us. Having said that, it is a massive yes from me because LOOK AT HIS FVCKING HAIR!! WOOF!! Wouldnt be be convinced with him coming in but at least the club are exploring all options Gegen pressing is an attacking style of play, very similar to that of Tottenham. The whole tactic is based on high pressure pressing when not in possession in order to win the ball back as high up the pitch as possible. When utilised competently it is a devastatingly effective tactic. I think he is actually my number one preference based on what I've read on him today.

I read an article on here somewhere the other day about him that basically said himself, Pochettino and another Argentine fella (Gallardo?) were the next big trio in terms of South American managers cutting the mustard in top level Europe.
FoxinNotts Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 This guy is clearly raw greasy sex. Gerrimin

I'd never heard of the guy until I saw this thread, if we're going to give the job to someone with no experience of managing in Europe we may as well let Appleton have it. He's exactly what we don't need right now.

This would be either a master stroke or a huge car crash. To much at risk to consider him seriously.

Gegen pressing is also great to watch and our players like to press, it'll be like early 15/16 all over again.

4everfox Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/907703038?-36514:815:3 Despite Mexico being a big country with over 120m inhabitants, sometimes it’s forgotten how much of a huge football culture there is. Yesterday, The Mirror claimed that Leicester City would be interested in Chivas manager Matías Almeyda. And the coverage it got in the North American country was pretty impressive, maybe even bigger than when this kind of thing happens in Brazil. With all the local media covering it, the most complete story came from sports newspaper Record, who added some recent information to show that Almeyda should indeed be keen on the job. They claim that other clubs such as Las Palmas and San Lorenzo have both tried to sign Almeyda with no success. However, there’s a reason why Leicester City could find a different outcome. A couple of weeks ago, Record were writing a story about the manager’s possible departure from Chivas, and a source close to him said: “After being multi-champion with Chivas, his next jump is Europe or the Mexico selection, obviously if it occurs at any time. I do not see him coming to Argentina.” The manager had also spoken about the matter at the time, and Record recalls his quotes, where he said: “Every time I get questioned in Mexico, proposals automatically come to me. I listen to them, analyse them and tell Jorge Vergara. You see that I’m also wanted in other places.” It’s hard to see a South American turning a job in the Premier League down, and Almeyda has some interesting experience winning titles far from his own country of Argentina. So if Leicester City are really going for him, it’s a deal that could happen.
420Hashish Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 I'd go for him. You never know unless you try. We'll never get Ancelotti or Pellegrini so it's great that other options are explored.
filthyfox Posted 24 October 2017 Posted 24 October 2017 Has anyone seen his middle name? He could be the Messiah..... We already have God and an Emperor
