In reality probably as many good ones as bad ones which looking at some other Clubs transfer policies ( Man Utd , Everton etc ) is not that bad ?

Just posted this in the Liverpool post match thread but think it really belongs in here.

 

Someone called me Amartey being one of our better players today, regardless of whether he was or not the fact remains we have no RB back-up and he's a makeshift RB, the recruitment failed.

Yeah he isn't apparently. I just assumed he was after his 5th booking before the new year.

Listen it's not about offsetting, I understand some signings work, some don't, Maguire is a great signing and a great bit of buisness, but not enough, we've needed to sort our defence, improve it, back it up at the very least for 2 years now and whilst Maguire is quality 1 CB is not enough, I understand things take time but 1 player in 2 years, nah, sorry not accepting that, that is failure.

 

Iborra and Ndidi again, good signing, can't really say alot against that, Kante needed replacing, we replaced him aswell as we could.

 

The 2nd lot cost a considerable amount more, now it's not my money, I shouldn't care, but I work on fact's that is fact. Whilst we need back up for Vardy other areas are in more need - the defence.

 

However the powers that be seem to have been more concerned about signing overpriced, useless strikers.

 

How about Jakupavic (Back up understably, doesn't even make the bench), Dragovic, Wague, Hernandez, Mendy, Kaputska, Lawrence, Kramaric, Inler, Benalouane. (And yes, I include players signed whilst Steve Walsh was here in that list.)

 

Then you have the Silva saga, debacle and how we conducted our business on that night.

 

To be honest i've listed alot of the 'flops' there but it's not necessarily about the 'flops' whilst that is frustrating its about how we conduct our business.

 

I've had this discussion before with someone, maybe a few people, I hold my hands up, I don't watch other clubs signings or business to closely but i'd be surprised if many did it as badly as us.

I will say in Rudkin's defence on this occasion i'm not sure thats his job to sort, might be.

 

Again, I don't want this to look like a 'I told you so' post but i've moaned about Kasper doing that for years and I remember people slagging me off for it saying he isn't that bad, he's always done it but people are now moaning about it, it's the one thing the really winds me up with Kasper.

Kasper is a 31 year old professional footballer with a shit tonne of appearances. Do you think his manager needs to tell him to kick it between the lines? He needs to just sort it himself.

Or maybe I genuinely have said those things previously, I'd love to be in a position where I don't have to harp on believe me but i'm not, I want these things to change...they're not though, years later.

One thing I will wholeheartedly agree with you on that you have mentioned this week though is how a difference of opinion has quickly become hate!
