One day you're occupying the centre ground, next day you're occupying consecrated ground. :S

A bit surprised at this one. He seemed like one of those who'd live to 100.....the days when there were credible, effective leaders in British politics, eh?

Ex Special Services as well … got to be strong mentally and physically to get in there.

Cancer can get anyone … dreadful illness that we seem to be making no head way on finding a cure.

Here's one that I must have missed at the time, about a year ago: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42300565

Benjamin Massing (55), the Cameroon defender responsible for one of the World Cup's most outrageous challenges - during one of its biggest shock results (1990 opening match: Cameroon 1 Argentina 0)

Hadn't realised that he was also responsible for one of Lineker's penalties in the quarter-final v. England.

One day you're scything down attackers, next day the man with the scythe comes for you. :S

A lesson for all Puel non-believers.  Sometimes you have to use a long-term strategy.

Remembering the famous people who sadly passed away this year. :flowers:

Shocking that Mark E. Smith and Pete Shelley don't make the lead image, only the secondary listing. :nono:

And what are Zippy and George doing in the photo? Only Geoffrey died - Zippy, George & Bungle live on!

Some big losses for the industry, be it here in the UK and around the world, for sure.

Keep forgetting that the legendary Bruce Forsyth passed away last year, and not this year (2018). Feels as if his loss is still only recent, still, considering how popular he was up until relatively near to his death.

Obviously hope that 2019 won't be a bad one in terms of the not having the same quite high level of well-known entertainment people that were lost this year.
