Plus i think a lot of players in many sports arent prepared for the fame and handling money.
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 16 September 2018 Posted 16 September 2018 A friend of mine used to prepare the tax returns for a lot of the City players back in the Seventies. Every year they'd ask the players their savings passbooks (no internet then ) so they could calculate the interest they'd earnt to enter on their returns . Every year Frankie Wortho used to say he did not have any savings accounts … literally spent every penny he earned. Difficult to do that now with the wages being paid.
Jimothy Posted 19 September 2018 Posted 19 September 2018 It'll be alright on the night host Denis Norden aged 96.
Izzy Posted 22 September 2018 Posted 22 September 2018 Chas from Chas & Dave https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-45613563
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 22 September 2018 Posted 22 September 2018 Chas from Chas and Dave has sang his last Gertcha. The band will now be renamed Dave.
The Bear Posted 22 September 2018 Posted 22 September 2018 Love Chas & Dave so this is a real shitter. Chas actually played guitar in bands over in America before coming back to the UK and concentrating on Piano. He then toured with his hero Jerry Lee Lewis when he came over here. I think Dave had a run in with cancer a few years back and retired from playing too.

One day you're writing humorous stories about a rag-and-bone yard, the next day you're rags and bones in a boneyard. A classic comedy series, though a lot of the credit must go to Wilfrid Brambell & Harry H. Corbett, the main actors. To what extent was the writing exceptional and to what extent did the actors make it so? Only seen Hancock a few times so cannot judge that, though Hancock himself was a big figure again....
Sir Shep Posted 7 October 2018 Posted 7 October 2018 Scott Wilson, better known on our screens recently as Hershel Green from the walking dead, back in the seasons when it was a great show. RIP Scott.
