Alice Levine is bloody lovely but Russell Howard is painfully unfunny, I'll never know how he's gotten so popular

Yeah, I have no idea who Alice Levine is, only ever seen her as a panellist and she wasn't that funny. The missus watches People Just Do Nothing and Chaudhry is funny in that, hopefully he'll be good. Liza Tarbuck... meh.

 

Russell Howard and Tim Vine are in the same bracket of Michael McIntyre / John Bishop anti-comedy, Russell with his shit observations and that mentally-challenged voice he applies to all his impersonations, and Tim Vine is just a bloke who says lots of Christmas cracker jokes and makes a living out of it. I'm guessing there'll still be lots of funny moments but this is easily the weakest line-up so far

I find that part of the beauty of the show is you get to see the real version of these comedians and not just the person they become on stage. I agree on paper its a weak line up but i'm hoping that someone will surprise me as thats whats happened with some of the contestents in the past.

Really struggled with this last night. The tasks didn't seem as good and the contestants trying too hard to be funny, Russell Howard in particular.

I watched the second episode straight after on the app and it was better than the first but still poor in comparison to previous series. Hoping it will pick up a bit but this type of show is all about the guests and I'm just not a fan of these five!

Yeah it was a bit rubbish last night. I despise Russell Howard anyway so it might be a tough sell for me. Tbh I wasn't overly keen on last series. At the moment it peaked at the Noel Fielding series

Tim vine is annoying me. There's moments where he's genuinely funny but he just seems to be trying to hard to find a cheap gag all the time. Wish he'd just chill out and enjoy it to be honest. 

 

Russel howard is being Russell Howard. The rest haven't left much of an impression at all. Definitely disappointing so far.

I've always liked Tim Vine, just because he's such a daft sod and I'm a sucker for a crap one liner.

 

I've never liked Russell Howard, but I think that's just because I don't like his act, and on stuff like this you get to see more of the person, rather than someone trotting stuff out that as often as not written for them by someone else anyway.

 

I really like Liza Tarbuck on the radio, but I must admit I didn't have a clue who Alice Levine is. That said, I'm now aware of the 'My Dad wrote a porno' podcast which has really changed my life for the better in the space of a day
