In a week which has been very tough for all of us, can always rely on a bit of light relief with Taskmaster

 

This series has been one of the best. Acaster and Gilbert especially.

This series has got me wondering what would happen if Greg decided to pack it in, I think Rhod Gilbert would make a great taskmaster. Either him or another previous competitor, Dave Gorman

Rhod would be better than Dave I think. I hope it never comes to that. The chemistry Greg and Alex have together makes me think it only works with them.

As in virtually every episode, James was the best thing in this series. Closely followed by Rhod.

The funniest one doesn't always win though.

 

I was surprised as I didn't think she was anywhere near winning, thought it was between Jessica and Rhod.

The winner is kind of irrelevant really isn't it. I suppose it only matters if they do another champion of champions run.

 

I think this series was the best one so far by some distance. Gonna be tough to live up to it next time around but looking forward to seeing who they get on nonetheless.

I think James summed it up when he was tied to that chair, failing the task, saying he thought it would make good TV.

 

The winner is irrelevant, imagine if there were 5 Kerry's in the lineup. The show would be finished.

Saw a few clips on YouTube and it's not great, another show that doesn't really translate unfortunately. 2 minutes of cheering from the audience after virtually every task and not the same dynamic with the host and guests. Listened to a podcast with Alex Horne a few weeks ago where he admitted it wasn't really a success too.
