It's okay though, it'll do for a Friday morning.
ScouseFox Posted 29 June 2018 Posted 29 June 2018 got round to bey n jay earlier this week, enjoyable. gave the new drake effort one listen this morning and it seemed like it could be pretty large. bit long though.

Yeah man, I mean, personally I preferred when he was going over older joints on his earlier records. AAB ain't bad but for me it didn't have the same vintage feel as his earlier stuff. too clean and a bit weak on the beats. fire thoooooo
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 July 2018 Author Posted 8 July 2018 Weird name but Let's Eat Grandma's new album is sensational, like early CHVRCHES mixed with Grimes
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 July 2018 Author Posted 17 July 2018 some newuns I've enjoyed recently
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 July 2018 Author Posted 17 July 2018 forgot this :-----------------)
Voll Blau Posted 17 July 2018 Posted 17 July 2018 Enjoying 10 O'Clock Chemical at the moment. Reminiscent of (off the top of my head) Kasabian, Friendly Fires, Blossoms.
ScouseFox Posted 26 July 2018 Posted 26 July 2018 very bland set of mercury nominations. noel gallagher, florence and the machine, arctics... meh
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 July 2018 Author Posted 26 July 2018 Arctics deserve it because their album is class but what Noel, Florence and Lily Allen are doing there is anyone's guess. Young Fathers should be on that shortlist 100% Noel's effort was fine, I didn't dislike it and I'd listen to it again, it's better than As You Were, but it's nowhere near award-winning. Just a strange set of nominees, like a reaction to people moaning the acts given a nod had become "a bit 6 Music."
Samilktray Posted 26 July 2018 Posted 26 July 2018 King Krule & Novelist are the only worthy winners tbh
StanSP Posted 4 August 2018 Posted 4 August 2018 new Deaf Havana album out earlier this week. Really good. Reminds me of their early days/album. Been listening to Slaves (Californian band, not the Kent-based one) - latest album Beautiful Death released earlier this year.
The Doctor Posted 25 August 2018 Posted 25 August 2018 So, I've been listening to White Nationalism is for Basement Dwelling Losers by Neckbeard Deathcamp this week. Pretty standard black metal fare, i.e. completely inaccessible to anyone who doesn't already like that sort of music, with less Nazis and more more "why punch Nazis when a baseball bat does more damage". Got some quality riffs, but the vocalist sounds like he's growling into a microphone 3 foot away while recording in a wind tunnel. Other than that, Halestorm (Vicious) and Psychostick (Do) have both put out blinders, and I'm really looking forward to Evil Scarecrow (Chapter IV: Lost in Antartarctica) after the recent single with its £5 budget horror movie video:

Finnegan Posted 7 September 2018 Posted 7 September 2018 So, basically, because Eminems popularity isn't what it used to be, he's insulted the whole world for attention in his latest album? And called them all faggots for extra edgelord banter lad troll points? I wish I was that cool.
