I do agree those drinking it to fit in etc are annoying.

I put most people that drink craft into this category.

Woodies was always a standard post-match pint if we ever played cricket anywhere round there 10-15 years ago. Teammates consistently rated it the best pub in the county for birdwatching.

Always seems alright to me brother!

Maybe it’s changed then, haven’t been there in a while tbh.

I haven't been the Woodies in years. I always thought it was the equivalent of the Royal Oak in Quorn. A nice pub with a posh crowd and decent (nothing special) beer selection.

Beer is better (the cask, lager the same) than the Royal Oak and the decor is far better. I was really disappointed by Quorn's pubs. Very Deano crowd

Quorn is a good hub with 6 pubs all within a short walk, but none of them are above a 6.5/7 out of 10. None of them are terrible either. White Hart is a very Deano crowd lol but good for big socials

Shame the Old Horse looks to have had its charm and character taken from it. Ponced up to look like the other few the chap who owns ‘The Beautiful Pub Collective’ chain. Now looks like a spot for the WAGS of Oadby.

Shame he’s took that over, nothing beautiful about his pubs. Just overpriced food and drink.

Noticed that the counting house is closed for the foreseeable, what’s happened there?

What's Deano crowd? Is it a Leicester term?

Either that, or at 36, I'm losing grip of what stuf means these days.

They just become another generic, chain pub. I don't mind the Rutland, but it's nothing to shout about and so many better places around
