Duffy’s having Jubel, Estrella Galicia and Landlord on over the weekend was welcome. Decent prices too.

Seems almost surreal they now have one of the better selections in town

Had a works retirement doo last Thursday and went to a bit of town I'd never ventured to before.

Had a few in the Clarendon which I really enjoyed.

Then went down Queens Road (I think) to a Spanish bar, Dos Hermenos possibly, unfortunately it was empty but could see the potential on a Friday or Saturday.

Then the Marquis Wellington, which again was quiet but had a nice feel about it.

Went to Babelas, Hopology (Leics pub 278) and the Clarendon on Friday.

Babelas now does Camra discount and they applied it to the lager in the round as well I think (??). Two pints under £10 in one of the best front rooms in city.

I had a Landlord, there was a golden ale from Hobgoblin/Wychwood (iirc) and completely blanking on the other cask option. Lager I don’t think changes much there

Not a drinker myself, was in The Loaded Dog on Saturday before The Clone Roses gig at the o2 academy, they were doing 20% off food and drink if you showed your ticket for the gig. Thought I'd let people know in case they go there before any gigs. Not sure if it's a permanent thing or not.

Had a few jars in Loaded Dog with muzzy after Kasabian at dmu. Kasabian first gig in Leicester without Tom I think

Has anyone been to the micropub in Anstey? Think it used to be called Mash and Press and now looks like it's called The Kneaded Pint

Went when it was M&P, beer was alright.

Excluding Charnwood and the bigger county towns there are so few micro pubs in Leicestershire. Kirby is crying out for one .

The salmon was on form this Saturday. Great place

I was there for a few after the game Saturday, gets a bit of a knocking on here (yes we all preferred it before) but does some cracking ale…. Was drinking a very nice stronger Mild 4.5%

I hate the Salmon now. But glad other people are enjoying it.

The Black Country needs bombing for what they did to the Salmon

It breaks me every time I go in there. Also the new gaffer isn’t great.

The Craven Arms and the Kings Head have very similar garish wallpaper and carpet as well. They obviously got a good deal on the wallpaper

that is devastating, I've never actually been to the Salmon and don't have any desire to now

You could've ended that sentence halfway through!
