Go back to the moment you fell in love with Leicester City.

 

For one minute, forget that we won the Premier League (if you can).

 

Just think.

 

 

Ten years ago tomorrow (Feb 2nd), we lost 2-1 to Blackpool to leave us 20th in the Championship.

 

That season we were relegated to League One.

 

10 years later, we've won League One, we've won the Championship, we've won the actual Premier League, we've reached the QFs of the Champions League.

 

Today, the richest football club in the world tried to sign one of our greatest ever players.

 

And Leicester City said no.

 

 

To £65m.

 

 

On the same day, they announced that they were building a state of the art training complex for £80m.

 

 

We may have lost tonight, but we still have a very good chance of reaching the Europa League through the league or cup this season.

 

Our future looks very, very bright.

 

I honestly believe we have the best owners in football.

 

 

And we have a good manager with a great track record of developing youngsters, improving training facilities, and evolving almost every club he's been at.

 

 

So I have to ask...

 

Did you ever think any of this would happen to us?

 

Cos I never did.

 

But it's happening now.

 

I've never felt more positive about the future of Leicester City Football Club.

Sadly those days are loooing gone. Now it’s all money and tantrums. Sometimes you have to wonder.........

Iain ****ing Hume was our talisman and star player back then. He was a proper trier, god bless him, but we were truly a steaming pile of shit. 

 

We also had a huge fall from grace from getting to cup finals and finishing top half in the PL to getting bsttered by Plymouth effing Argyle.

It’s been a whirlwind 10 years to be honest. It’s not until you step back and out of the current bubble that you realise what a monumental job the owners and everyone involved in that time have done. The foundations really were set by Pearson and his team and we’ve never looked back

 

Wonder where we’ll be 10 years from now. Riyad might have left by then

I have just looked at the net spend table for the season and we are 11th with a spend of £17m. With all the players we have loaned out, with the intention of moving them on permanently, and if we make Europa League, I suspect, and hope, they owners are going to really push hard in the summer and invest in real quality. I think they will be aiming for top 4.
