The general standard of the African teams seems to have been poor in the few games we've had so far. Or maybe that's just my perception. Hope Senegal make a decent fist of it. I'd rather not have a 2nd round full of mainly European teams and a smattering of South Americans.

Senegal could do alright actually - Mane, Keita, Koulibaly, Gueye and Ndiaye are all solid players. Mind you Nigeria and Morocco have some decent players on paper yet didn't set the world alight, especially Nigeria who looked terrible.

I quite like Poland for some reason. Maybe it's because our World cup histories seem so inextricably linked. I would also quite like at least one African nation to do well. It's a win/win for me. Unless it's a draw of course.

Cute Polish mascots singing the national anthem with the players, didnt realise they did that before. Half the words in their anthem end in 'ski too lol

This Poland side are underrated but I can see Glik being a big miss for them.

 

If an African side are to do well then I expect it to be Senegal, they have a decent squad.

Are people watching the game on ITV? If so, why does one of the commentators sound like Korg from the Thor movies?
