Posted on here just after Burnley qualified, saying Dyche would not be that bothered about Europe and getting to the group stages (an extra six matches). He'll put an understrength team out against Aberdeen and think..."If we win great but if we lose no big deal". Don't forget the likes of Accrington, Port Vale and Lincoln have dumped Dyche teams out of cup competions - all 1-0.

Defour and Brady are both coming back from long-term injury and won't be risked in the two matches against Aberdeen.

Put money on the Dons if you can get decent odds. The board's primary target is PL football - 17th will do - guaranteed for 2019/20.

Have to wonder, if that's the case what is the point of it all?

Just finishing 10th-17th every year would bore me to death, think i'd rather go down and at least have the fun of coming back up again.

So...if we get £40m (ha) for Musa and then spend it we'd be second in the spending chart. Just love a table where we are bottom and then end up top, kinda reminds me of the recent past.

Anyone else getting confused that spending is in green and saving is in red? The sums say we're doing well but the colours make me think we're in trouble.

That's what I thought until I realized it was ranked in net spend order. Because we got $60m for Mahrez that is skewing our numbers to make it look like other have spent more than us. This table basically glorifies spending money. We're bottom because at this point we've made a profit.

Yeah I get the order and that but it just seems odd due to how it's colour coded.

Why have we not had a clear out of the weak links from last season, holding on to them will not improve matters.

No one else will pay the wages they are on unfortunately.

You have to have a buyer, it's not like we've been knocking bids back.

Our balance will look even more impressive once we've sold a few more players in this oversized squad, such as:

Musa?

Slimani? (Turkey?)

King? (Well, I'd love him to stick around and add to his club records)

James? (Championship?)

Amartey?

Okazaki? (J-League?)
Fuchs? (MLS in January?)

Ulloa? (Return to Spain or Argentina at some stage?)

Jakupovic? (Return to Switzerland at some stage?)

Iborra? (Return to Spain?)

Mendy?

Benalouane? (Based on World Cup performances )

Kapustka?

Elder? (Wigan?)

Even Schmeichel is being discussed as leaving due to some offers (budget option for Chelsea?).

It's a fine line with selling players for the sake of it - some cases are more urgent than others.

Take it you don't like Slimani calling him a Turkey. lol

There’s only a few weeks left so expect mass panic from all clubs. Was it such a good idea to change the transfer window?

Seems a bit daft this particular year, with the WC

Averaging those names at ~£25k/week (Assuming at least Slimani, Fuchs, Okazaki, Iborra, Musa are much higher), and that's costing us £350k/wk, or £18m each year.

I'm sure we're fine for FFP with the increased PL revenue and other player sales, but that'd be a very helpful boost to the coffers. And that's not even considering the revenue from selling the aforementioned players...

Nothing like a half empty glass. Are you the one from the airplane film. The one that was so depressing everyone committed suicide lol lol
