How people choose to spend their hard earned wages is a personal choice

As long as they have enough cash floating around to be able to make that choice, of course.

How do they even justify £600 though?!

They don't have to like everything else in football nothing has to or is justified with respect to how it affects the fans even more so the match going fans.

Even though ive questioned it myself.

Someone put it to me like this.

"I would probably pay it, my kid gets a FREE Season Ticket until he's about 10. No other clubs do that in the Premier League work out the cost of say 7 seasons it works itself out to be about even.  After 10 years old his season ticket is still cheap"

Pretty fair point :dunno:

I defend the owners to the end but this is indefensible. Young fans are the future of the club and the club should regard it as a privilege to see our team led out by these youngsters. Sad when the owners get so much right.

This has a wiff of overly comercial idiots...0

It is excluding those who spend their hard earned cash supporting city.  It should be free and done on a lottery.

If we were on our uppers in 2nd div then it might be a source of much needed revenue.

SHAME

Again though, that's all fine and dandy assuming you've got the cash to afford that outlay in the first place.

You would over the 7 year period but 600 in one go is a big bulk.

Arguing you can afford a free season ticket as a justification is a bit odd tho isn't it?

I pay 50 quid a year for my boys so by the time he's 9 it will have cost me about 300 quid granted. But that's not to say I'd be able to pay for him if he cost me 415 quid a season.

My daughter would love to do this. She's City mad, her favourite thing to wear is her Leicester Maguire shirt, he is her hero. She was fortunate enough to take part in the free playing on the pitch event that was held at half term, and she scored a goal which was pretty cool, not many (non footballing) people get to be able to say they've scored at the KP. But there's no way I could afford for her to do this as much as I know she would love it. It's a real shame that the club price people like us out of these things, we struggle enough to find the money to make the games as it is. And there must be plenty of people like us too. It just makes me sad that if you don't have the money you can't do things like this for your children.

OH MY GOD THEY DON'T GIVE IT AWAY FOR FREE?

HANG ON A SECOND I'M GOING TO FIND SOME FAKE OUTRAGE, JUST CHECKING POCKETS BRB

Seriously? I'm not outraged, just sad that money is a factor. And a lot of it, too.

seriously though, before people start getting all tetchy about it.

3 course meal, match tickets and half time refreshments for the whole party b2b mascot experience and full kit for the kid.

take along a reasonable size party for a special occasion, split the bill and it's hardly going to require a re-mortgage.

other than that - some things just weren't meant to be afforded by all people - that's life innit.

wasn't aimed at you my shower peeing homie. ^_^

just these threads always go the same way - people get all wound up because something is out of their price range.

large company behaving like a large company shocker, right?

I mean, I'd love to dine out at Michelin Star restaurants every weekend but it's not within my budget really, but I'm hardly gonna get annoyed at the restaurant.

Not sure why they need to include the 3 course meal for 4 as I'm sure most kids have no interest in that.

But who's interested in the meal and the tickets and the kit? We have them already. It's the chance to walk out with the players that I'm talking about. The other things are just a reason to charge money, and it's unnecessary. And a remortgage isn't possible for me, I rent ;)

@FoxesDeb

I'll approach Iborra for you and see if I can arrange the Iborra match-day experience for £50.

you get to go in the changing room and sniff his dirty shorts after the game and then you get a diet pepsi and a photo of him wearing your knickers to keep.

Chill out, it's my daughter who would love to be the mascot. Mind you I could always leave her at home... ?

I take it that it's £600+ VAT?..

I know they're trying to increase income internally within the club in a different way, but this feels like it's corporate-style pricing for something that isn't really 'exclusive'/'niche'.

And is really more targeted to those that would love to see their children to experience this type of opportunity they've wished for whilst supporting the club but have never afforded it due to the costs involved (especially at the ratevthat it's set to now).
