TiffToff88 Posted 15 May 2019 Posted 15 May 2019 Some fantastic names in that Zimbabwe squad. Our own Admiral of course, Knowledge, Marvelous, Talent, Divine... Am i right in thinking that a lot of Zimbabwean (and other African) families name their children in anticipation of the kind of person they hope their kids become? That being said (if its true), its a sad indictment of African life that another one of the names is "Teenage" The less said about Butholezwe Ncube the better though...
filbertway Posted 15 May 2019 Posted 15 May 2019 Oh beautiful. I was worried it'd be a summer of no football. Absolutely love the African nations, the keepers are generally nuts and it results in some great TV moments.
urban.spaceman Posted 21 June 2019 Author Posted 21 June 2019 *might* mean that Iheanacho gets a call up...

Foxes1 Posted 22 June 2019 Posted 22 June 2019 Nigeria with Ndidi in the team currently on Eurosport2 channel 524
Foxes1 Posted 23 June 2019 Posted 23 June 2019 Ndidi got voted MOTM in their game yesterday, hope Ole doesn't see that or he will be after him as well. OH WAIT.
the fox Posted 23 June 2019 Posted 23 June 2019 Algeria's starting 11: Number 20 and number 21 are really young so won't mind one of them here. Also number 9 is very good.

the fox Posted 28 June 2019 Posted 28 June 2019 Just want to say, I'm so proud of the national team. It's been a long time since I felt the players played with such passion. The best part about yesterday's win is the physicality of the team. You will not win the Afcon without grinding the other team down (in the limits of the rules of course). We have players with experience playing in the African champions league and they know what it takes to win. The players weren't afraid of putting their body on the line and that is all you can ask for. It was a bit like the club's title winning season. Just crazy work rate and counter attacks.
Wymsey Posted 30 June 2019 Posted 30 June 2019 A bit of a shock here. Madagascar win Group B and are through to the last-16, after beating Nigeria (with Musa and Ndidi playing).

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 1 July 2019 Posted 1 July 2019 Algeria 3-0 up against Tanzania at HT. Slim got the first goal and assisted the other 2.
