Just to be clear, "clear and obvious" in rugby basically means that if the on field decision is a try and there's a massive pile of bodies on the floor and no camera can see any grounding - the video ref then goes with the on field decision. 

 

It doesn't mean that if you can blatantly see a foul you ignore it because you aren't sure if it's strong enough.
