I vividly remember him announcing he’s off for a piss so we will likely score. Low and behold we did and he came back chuckling. I still have photos of wembley 2000 I took with a disposable camera and they are fantastic quality. Also still have the foxes at Wembley 2000 flag. Lad now has it hung in his bedroom. Get em on here!
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 27 September 2019 Posted 27 September 2019 Luckily enough to have gone to the Middlesbrough final and replay. Also the Spurs final which was a dreadful day, went with my best friend from childhood, sadly long since gone but such happy memories of that time, football, friendship, fantastic days!
Chicago Foxile Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Looking up at the Wembley screens after drawing against boro in ‘97 to learn we would be off to Hillsborough for the replay- and what a night that was! Can’t believe it’s been 22 years. Great days- went to Wembley with City in 92,93,94,96,97,99,00 (obv not all cup finals but brilliant nonetheless)
09bballer Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Managed to get a ticket through work for hospitality for the spurs final. Had a few beers on way down. Game starts and I was singing and shouting for Leicester. After 15 minutes I had to be told to keep it down because we were in the Spurs section and I hadn't realised!!!!
Voll Blau Posted 15 November 2019 Author Posted 15 November 2019 Anyone remember the streaker at the Boro final? Came out of the Leicester end in just boxers the first time and was escorted back in, only to return a few minutes completely starkers. Think Ravanelli may have had a go at him on the pitch?

Ya remember that day embarrassingly well I was trying on these boxer shorts at the Wembley shop and leaned ,& fell against the door, and found myself,on a massive open field surrounded by a stadium with thousands of howling people, and not very friendly shop-assistants..Got took to a cubicle and just as I was had taken my boxer shorts off,I exactly like the last time fell through the bloody door..Now I ask you what would you do "stark naked" with a great big Dobermann-pincher & an Alsation running towards you..wanting to sniff your balls, with Burley men in blue-suits wanting a piece of the action.. I searched quickly for sanctuary, seen the light at the end of tunnel and just ran towards it....Honest guv..!!

Likewise I remember being at those 3 games. Having the crack with some Boro fans on the way out of Wembley and thinking what a good crowd they were. Traveling to Sheffield for the replay with nothing to eat all day. Then not being able to find any decent food after the game. Yes, The Spurs game was a real downer. I remember saying our tactics were wrong and that they'd score, and so it proved. I lost 100 quid or was dipped that day also. A real bad day.
dynamark Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 Bit further back watching the trains full of fans heading south from the railway bridge - probably 1963 .
dynamark Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 Beg pardon must have been 1969 scarves hanging out the windows
BoyJones Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 Only thing I remember about the 69 final was Lochhead missing with that blooming shot from Clarke's? knockdown😡 plus a header he should have done better with. Never ever seen the match again, don't watch TV / MOTD ever if city lose. On the tube home (we were staying in London overnight) I also remember getting a rollicking from the old man (RIP) for having a row with a Man City fan. As I was only 17 and biafran build (all changed now, before Cambridgefox wades in😂) he probably had a point. Horrible day, Wembley is totally soul destroying if you lose. Still finally after seven attempts we did it and as a 42 year old man I am not ashamed to say I was crying for quite a long time once that final whistle had gone in 94.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 15 November 2019 Posted 15 November 2019 Can't believe we've been in 4 FA Cup finals and lost them all. You'd think we'd have fluked a win in one of them at least.
Stadt Posted 16 November 2019 Posted 16 November 2019 Going on a European Tour is great and all but our relatively high status these days will feel wasted if we don't lift the FA cup
