I loved the first Horizon but this one just hasn't clicked for me. Coming off finishing Dying Light 2 I was keen to sink some time into this. I just found the story a little dull. Aloy is at times unbearably annoying & self righteous. This coupled with my very surprising love of Elden Ring means I haven't touched Horizon in weeks.

Exactly the same for me.  The original for me was fantastic due to the "what's going on here?" aspects of the plot.  With that being unravelled in the original, and not having and equivalent curiosity aspect to the game, I found FW to be just a generic open worlder.  I will come back and finish it at some point though.

I played the Beta but never bothered with the full game this year

 

The past few years I have only really played career mode as well, barely touched FUT

Not brought a FIFA game in years so ill give it a go. FUT i was getting a bit too into it. Spending real money. Got to the point where i slapped myself in the face and questioned my life  

 

In fact its prob a good reason not to bother getting it even if its free. It certainly wont be free in the end

If that's the case then definitely don't do it!

 

There is only 1 reason fifa is being given away as a free game, and that is to tempt people into FUT for a last hoorah cash grab until the next game.

Exactly my thoughts. Ill steer clear of it then. Too think people paid £50 for it not that long ago and now its on PS plus.

Over 80% completion on HFW.  Still haven't completed the main story as yet, just going round clearing sides and errands.  One cauldron left.  Don't want the game to end, no clue what I'll go to next.  Whatever it is, won't be as good as this 

 

A word for the water graphical effects.  Incredible.  The ocean looks amazing, nothing comes close to how realistic everything looks.  And still no bugs or crashes after roughly 90 hours.  I find this incredible considering the huge scope of the game.

Also, I cannot find the easy loot option in the menus.  Has it been taken out in an update?  I want to collect and max out all the legendary gear but don't want to spend hours doing so.

Nice to see stuff like GoT, Death Stranding and Returnal on there that I wouldn't mind having a go at but don't want to shell out for. Have wanted Miles Morales for ages too but was still pretty pricey for what's a short game.

 

Not too many PS1/PS2 games announced yet but I'm sure with time they'll be added.

Tried it on PS Now last year but couldn't get into it. Seemed quite glitchy as well. Lots of people rave about it though.

I found with it you just need to get through the first hour or so

 

Once I managed that it opens up a lot more into the brilliant game as many people say it is

Mmmmm.  Need to weigh this up.  I always pay £35 for the years subscription as I wait until the deals come in which just so happens to be the time when this new service is set up.  I doubt there will be any deals floating about this year - I might wait 6 months and see what happens.  As it stands, £50 extra is not worth it imo.

That's how it got me. For reasons I can't explain, I played it twice and then again recently for the directors cut. The directors cut making it even longer which is the last thing that game needed.
