Its a lot less that Valhalla to Platinum. Think i was around 60-70 hours. 

 

Well ive just absolutely blasted Final Fantasy 8 remaster. With x3 speed on i whizzed through the story lol 

 

I like the sound of the new games available this month. Ive wanted to play Avengers but heard so many bad reviews i couldnt bring myself to spend money on it.

Was about 55 hours for me I think.  Which for me was about perfect size open world game

Took me 77 hours according to my PS5, although I explored basically everywhere and didn't use the guiding wind to find anything until the very end

Started Stray today. Anyone who is even mildly fond of cats will love it.

 

@kingcarr21 RE: Avengers - I played it last year when it was on PS Now. Decent, the combat gets quite repetitive at times but worth a go. Wouldn't have wanted to pay for it though like you say.

Just finished the Iki Island DLC for Ghost of Tsushima, cleared all the activities and got all the trophies - took me about 13 hours

 

It was alright, added a bit more back story to Jin and the story overall was interesting

 

Think that is basically me done with Ghost of Tsushima now, can't really be bothered with New Game + or the Legends Mode

 

Now onto Stray I think, should be able to smash that out this weekend quite easily

I finished Stray in 4 hours. Quite an enjoyable experience playing as a cat. Only missed out on 5 memories so i may go back and get them. You can replay chapters once complete.

 

There is a trophy for completing the game in under 2 hours. Shouldn't be too difficult if you just focus on the main quest. Though now i have started Avengers i prob wont even bother

Just finished Stray in 3 hours and 48 minutes - very short, so quite glad I haven't had to buy it

 

I didn't think I would enjoy a game where you are basically just a cat running around so much!

 

Probably get 1 or 2 more playthroughs out of it to sweep up the few memories I missed and clear up the trophies I have left to get - but that can wait for a bit!

 

Now back to finishing Horizon Forbidden West I think!

I've just sorted out PS Extra.  Got the 84 quid credit for 77 from shopto so have effectively 12 months for the price of 11.

 

Immediately downloaded Stray (obviously) and done about an hour.  Left it for an hour running itself to pick up the sleeping trophy lol

 

Also picked up AC Rogue, FF9 and an interesting title called Observation.  No idea how that will go but I've looked for the best of the lesser known titles under the Extra subscription as recommended on a few websites and given those a go rather than the standout obvious ones.

 

Will also try out Victor Vran, Desperados 3, Little Nightmares, Outer Wilds and others which are also recommended.

Outer Wilds is a decent game if you are into Fallout. Its very similar

 

Have you played FF9? What a game. For me it has the best soundtrack in the FF series

I haven't played 9 or 8.  7 and X onwards, yes.

 

Just finished Stray.  I enjoyed it although it did glitch on me twice.  The first time I got stuck on the bar in the slums, wouldn't move off the bar and a simple reset of the checkpoint sorted that.  The other glitch was more problematic as it happened when you first get the purple weapon.  Press L1 to activate by the gate prompt  and nothing happened when pressing L1.  I had to do a whole chapter reset which lost all my items also.  Not sure I'll do a sweep to clear the trophies, may just leave it at that.  Apart from those niggles, a decent game and an enjoyable story.  

 

I'm starting Observation next.  :thumbup:

Played about an hour and it just seems very samey, search for a few clues then kill a few Mongolians. 

Honestly most of the quests involve the task 'Defeat the Mongolians'  so if you are already getting bored then it may not be the game for you. I enjoyed it but you do get to a point where you just can't be bothered.

 

I started the DLC after the main quest and got 5 mins I'm before I gave up on it

Both 8 and 9 are really good FF games. Stories that engross you just like 7 did. 

 

Between 7, 8 and 9 I can't put them in a top 3. All of them have something better than the others

Observation is an interesting title.  I reckon I'm about halfway through at this point and the story has me hooked.  Taking on the role of the computer AI and affecting things in the environment of the space station is unique.  The puzzles are fairly straightforward and there will be zero replayability here but it is definitely worth a go imo.

Got a PS5 and finished Horizon Forbidden West.

 

Looks sublime, gameplay is great, plotline not as good as the original but it's a very, very narrow second there IMO.

 

Very much looking forward to where they go from here with it.

Back into Horizon Forbidden West today, after not playing it for a while and having just finished Ghost of Tsushima, taking a bit to get used to the controls again haha

Finished the campaign on Wolfenstein: The New Order earlier on.  Great game, very enjoyable campaign throughout although the ending boss battle was lame.

 

I then downloaded Prey and have deleted it already.  lol

 

Felt like a poor man's Deus Ex.  I was expecting better from this considering how brilliant Dishonored was but I just couldn't get into it at all.

 

Apart from the AAAs available on Extra, can anyone recommend anything else?
