Still putting some decent time into Ghost of Tsushima

 

Went back and cleared up the remaining Mongol camps in the the 1st area which lifted the fog, then went and cleared up all the remaining undiscovered locations there

 

Pretty much done none of the main story for the 2nd area, but have explored quite a lot of it whilst clearing up all the available side quests there

😄 I've got gamepass & I can't justify both when I rarely get time to play. I'll probably just buy Stray when it's on sale.

This looks quality to me.  Hopefully it doesn't get pushed back into next year.  The fact that it is masterminded by the guy who created Dead Space tells you all you need to know. 

 

Looking forward to this more than any other title in the remainder of 2022.

Now then gents, I am a complete PS5 newb and I haven’t a clue where to start as frankly, the last console I had was a silver PS2 and all I’ve done since is play on mates’ consoles whenever I’m over. I genuinely really haven’t kept up to date with any console news for like a decade. 
 

I can see Uncharted and The Last of Us are popular but are there any other games you’d recommend for a new starter? 
 

Also is a PlayStation plus subscription essential?

Credits now rolling on Ghost of Tsushima

 

I have to say I really enjoyed it and I think it is a brilliant game, definitely one of my favourite games of recent years

 

I do feel that the "exploration" side got a bit boring/tedious in the third area, but thankfully most of them are pretty quick to get through once you find them

 

 

Anyone else that has finished it, which ending did you choose? Kill or spare Uncle Shimura?

I chose to spare Shimura because at the end of the story Jin no longer wants to be a slave to the samurai code

Jin even chose to betray his uncle in order to try and ensure more people weren't killed, so would have felt like killing Shimura would just be another like taken that didn't need to be

 

 

Probably got at least a couple more hours or so of the original game area, first 2 areas are cleaned up already so no more exploring left there, just need to wrap up the last area then will jump on that Iki Island DLC to see what that is

If you want to play pretty much anything online then yes, you need a Playstation plus subscription. I normally get a 12 month pass during black friday from amazon which you save quite a bit on it. Not sure if you can get them cheap any other time.

Wouldn't say Plus is essential but if you've not had a console in so long there are a lot of great PS3/4 games to catch up on that are on there. Depends what type of games you're generally into in terms of recommendations. The Horizon games are fantastic, Ratchet & Clank are great platformers, God of War etc. Uncharted is definitely a good place to start though.

Horizon Forbidden West is all you need.

 

I would look at PS Extra as well as for 84 quid you have access to Demon Souls, Death Stranding, Returnal, GoT, GotG, FF7 Intergrade, and a load more that individually will cost over double 84 quid.

I would say getting playstation plus extra subscription is your best bet.  you can try out hundreds of games with that and get a feeling for what kind of games you like and go from there

Depends what you like really, so many top games. Horizon yes, Elden Ring, yes, Spider-Man Miles Morales, defo, there is even a Gran Tourismo

 

Returnal is quality too, sorry, too much choice  :D

Glad Stray has received decent reviews today.  Anyone given this a go yet?

Downloaded Stray earlier, will give it a go once I have done the GoT dlc
