Anyone managed to buy a ps5 digital standalone console recently? Been looking for 3 weeks and not seen any in stock, seen a few bundles with a game but just wanna know if I'm wasting my time looking for the console alone

Do they add first party games when they release, like gamepass?

No they don't unfortunately and from what they've said it doesn't seem like they will being doing it anytime soon

FYI - just did a test, and although my previous PS Plus has expired, I was able to download Resident Evil Directors Cut from the PS1 games for free - as I had previously bought it as a PS1 classic on PS3/Vita. So if you have old PS1 classics on your account, you should be able to get those free as promised. Think I had the other 2 PS1 resi games, Metal Gear Solid and Parasite Eve 2, so hope they make their way on to the service at some point.

I will not post this in the XBox thread as it'll end up as a pointless debate but how is it possible that a supposedly top tier AAA game can look as bad as this when compared to what Guerilla Games can do?

It's appallinging bad. Are Bethesda bothered at this point or what?

I found the article amusing on my feed this morning.

Bethesda's gunna Bethesda I guess.

I think you know what you're gunna get with their games bit of fun but graphically its not going to push the boat out.

Just finished Uncharted Lost Legacy after starting it yesterday - only takes about 8 hours or so to beat

Chloe and Nadine work well together, and I quite like the story as well

Not sure if it is just because I haven't played an Uncharted game for a while, but I actually felt at times that this game was a bit harder than I remember the main series games being!

Definitely recommend if anyone enjoys the main series games and is yet to play this

Ghost of Tsushima next I think!

Love the Uncharted series. Still think Uncharted 4 is right up there as the best PS4 game. I was genuinely gutted when i finished it. Didn't want it to end. I think all the Uncharted games are good.

Ive just finished Act 1 of Ghost of Tsushima. Great game so far

I can't put Ghost of Tsushima down

Just finished Act 1 and now clearing up anything else that has popped up in Izuhara before heading into the next area

Only the past few hours or so has it clicked with me regarding how much easier it makes it when you switch stances mid fights, most of the time I was doing entire missions with just 1 stance haha

Only thing I will say is that I do get a bit of the "Ubisoft" feel about it, running around clearing camps, picking up collectables and finding special areas

But unlike with Valhalla where it put me off, this is much more enticing in that it makes it a lot harder for me to put the game down, always "1 more mission, 1 more Fox Den" haha

Im the exact same. Trying to avoid the main quests as much as possible and just going around doing all the side stuff. Love it

Considering I’m a PlayStation fan boy I’m surprised I’ve not played any of the Uncharted series. Reckon I might have to give it a try.

Uncharted series is incredible. Just pure fun action.

Finished Miles Morales story, probably will do a few side missions as obviously the main game is only short. Great stuff though. Also looking forward to Stray coming on to PS Plus soon. :D

Im genuinely shocked and im incredibly jealous. To be able to play through that whole series for a first time again would be a joy. You cant have a Playstation without played Uncharted.

I cant stress enough how amazing Uncharted 4 is. Incredible story telling and the amount of times i would just stop moving and admire the scenery. The action sequences are the best of any game ive ever played. Ive played a lot of games over the years but nothing comes close to the Uncharted series for action and cinematography. Uncharted 2 is considered one of the greatest games of its generation.

I just hope you havent left it to late to make the impression on you that it did for me. Obviously playing older games can look dated and the experience wont be as good.

I expect you to come back to this chat in a few months time to tell us what you thought of the whole series. Make sure you play them in order though. I would genuinely love to know what you make of it. Especially Uncharted 4.

I see that the first couple of Uncharted games are very dated so I was, at first, put off but you still recommend that I battle through them?

They did make some graphical improvements to them when they brought out the PS4 collection:

“For the most part, The Nathan Drake Collection is just the first three Uncharted games, more or less as they appeared on the PS3. The biggest improvement is graphical: While the originals ran at 30 frames per second and 720p, the Nathan Drake collection runs at 60 fps and 1080p. There are minor graphical upgrades throughout, including improved lighting, better draw distance and higher-res character models. Sony has made a few gameplay tweaks as well, such as improving grenade controls in Drake's Fortune and aiming in Drake's Deception.”

Still very much an enjoyable experience. As said above play the Nathan Drake Collection and it will still look amazing.

Talking about it makes me want to play them all again in order.

Well once I’ve completed TLOU2 again then I’ll jump into it. Cheers for the input lads.

They're all better than the new God of War.  I'd put them all above that as PS exclusives go.  Put it this way, if Uncharted 5 released, I'd buy it day 1. God of War Ragnorok though?  No.

In other news I finished TLOU2!  Can't understand the negativity surrounding this game, I thought it was pretty good myself.  Some great moments and I liked it as much as the first - I thought the ending was better too.

56 hours in Horizon Forbidden West and done the Ted Faro mission.  Only just getting around to the cauldrons now.  Story wise think it falls a little short of the original which I did expect it to be fair although still enjoying it a lot and will definitely platinum it.

Gone and got Elden Ring ready for when I'm done with this.

The story does pick up later on. I do agree though the first game was great. I remember playing it and not having a clue what i was going to find at the end.
