Homedressingroom Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 Morning Foxes, Ipswich Town fan coming in peace and trying to escape the nightmare of the Rugby World Cup final. I have two football podcasts One is an Ipswich Town podcast the other is a locked on the Premier league podcast. I have Ian Marshall appearing on both podcasts this week. You can subscribe here so you don't miss the podcast when it drops next week. Or catch either of them on any podcast platform. I was hoping you would be able to help me as I am looking for ; Any personal memories on Ians time with Leicester or through his career that you may have. Any questions you have off for Ian. Sorry to trouble you and thanks guys.
Wolfox Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 That goal v Athletico Madrid that’ll be very LCFC fans abiding memory of Marshall that and his searing pace
RumbleFox Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 One of the best finishers we've ever had. If only he could run. X
MPH Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 also had the best haircuts EVER in the history of the world
Collymore Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 I loved it how "Rag Head" was just used in conversation as if it was on his birth certificate. Marshall and Claridge must have been the most crap looking good players ever to grace an attacking line up anywhere in the world ever...
Aus Fox Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 Question for Ian: On a night out who scrubbed up better, you or Steve Clarridge? Am I the only who thought that was the scruffiest strike partnership in Premier League history?
Aus Fox Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 Also memories of Ian: He loved to score against the Derby possibly even more than Iwan Roberts did. Scored our first ever premier league hat trick. against the sheep! (Only 5 others have done it since I believe). Regularly saw him in McDonalds Fosse Park - might say more about me than him though. Goals in the league cup quarter final v Fulham. Bloody legend, would love a player like him now offering a different option of the bench.
LinekersLugs Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 My god he used to do the hosting in the Banks Suite when I had a table there he was painful to listen to
Aus Fox Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 This thread just made me take a walk down memory lane and while looking at what Ian Marshall has achieved, I realised he was the most expensive footballer on the planet when he joined us. I always thought Martin George was a bit of a tight arse.

It really is his account, he comes across as a right gammon.

danhaw Posted 2 November 2019 Posted 2 November 2019 Seen him a few times in the white horse in Quorn on a friday night. Loved his goal against United when we beat them 2-0 at filbert street.

Out Foxed Posted 3 November 2019 Posted 3 November 2019 taggs said he's never seen any player who cared less about football than Mr. Marshall

Paninistickers Posted 3 November 2019 Posted 3 November 2019 Loved the Marsh. And his marvellous grandpa celebration. A very decent player and despite a few mocks about his pace, he wasn't sluggish. The late late winning goal at Anfield a good example. I once saw him in dominoes toys doing some Xmas shopping (this anecdote is a work in progress)
