Union FS Posted 27 December 2019 Posted 27 December 2019 For the third season in a row the group will be running a foodbank collection for Leicester based charity The Bridge who help support our cities homeless. https://bridgeleicester.org/ We have been blown away by the generosity over the last two seasons and this year we have extended to having two drop off points - SK1 and outside the family stand. Please see the below video on items to donate: https://twitter.com/UFS2013/status/1210596199541149697
urban.spaceman Posted 27 December 2019 Posted 27 December 2019 Fantastic stuff UFS. You're a credit to the fanbase - I'd much prefer you go more attention than the idiots in the last few days.
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 27 December 2019 Posted 27 December 2019 A brilliant local charity to support for another year running. Here’s to another big success!

Those that have given this group stick on here over the years through nothing but ignorance, what are you doing to help the needy this New Year?

E.Rose Posted 6 January 2020 Posted 6 January 2020 Hi Union FS team, Thanks for your time and effort organizing this, I'd love to donate but won't be able to make the match on Saturday, could you let me know what my best options are in terms of donating in this scenario? Am I best to do a cash donation online or will there be other opportunity in the future where i'll be able bring a donation to the club? Let me know what is best for The Bridge/Yourselves and i'll be sure to make it happen.

The group are happy to accept cash donations before Saturday as they'll be doing a shop to get as much as possible. Just make sure you add the foodbank as a payment reference Bank Details: 40-09-17 / 42218275 PayPal: [email protected] (select friends and family)
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 6 January 2020 Posted 6 January 2020 Took a car full of old clothes, coats, footwear etc to The Bridge just before Christmas as a friend had told me about the amazing work they do there. (Admittedly, my fashion sense is Primark/Sainsbury's bang average but hopefully it helps someone somewhere.)

(Admittedly, my fashion sense is Primark/Sainsbury's bang average but hopefully it helps someone somewhere.) You'd be surprised at how fussy some of our rough sleepers are. Last winter, on a very wet and cold day, I went to the baked potato place on Halford Street for lunch and bought an extra one for a guy in a sleeping bag nearby. "No thanks" he said, "I've got plenty" as he lifted his covers to show his well stocked supply. The next one I asked said "nah, I don't really like beans, try them down there, they might take it off your hands". I couldn't give the thing away. I had to go to a hair dressers where I knew a girl who worked there and give it to her!
Unabomber Posted 6 January 2020 Posted 6 January 2020 Do you guys accept jeans and trousers? I have some I want to donate. Great charity btw it is what we are asking for donations for at my mums funeral.

Lcfc_lass10 Posted 6 January 2020 Posted 6 January 2020 Hopefully this will prove to be another big success.
VLC86 Posted 6 January 2020 Posted 6 January 2020 I’m not at the game so I’ll transfer some cash to the above details, Great work.

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 Final reminder for today!! The Bridge mentioned dried coffee is the most pressing item at the moment if you have a spare jar kicking about. Taking cash donations on both stalls if you can't bring stuff with you.
SemperEadem Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 Well done Leicester fans, a truly remarkable amount of donations.
Unabomber Posted 13 January 2020 Posted 13 January 2020 Great stuff. Hoping my old barely worn Billabong jacket goes to a good home.
