I'm doing commentary for talkSPORT (on the app) at Norwich-Palace on NY Day and will probably use every cliche in the book. Apologies in advance lol

I think you should pick 10 of the best on here and then try to include them. List them first and we can all play Bingo!!

"Hes got to be stronger there"

Applies any time someone loses a contested header resulting in a goal or a keeper gets fouled in mid air.

"Hes got a lovely / wand of a left foot"

No one ever says the equivalent about a right footer

Agreed, a 'cultured right foot' sadly does not and has never existed

'The most important thing is the three points.'

'We'll take the point and move on.'

''He's played a great ball, to be fair.'

off topic - cricket related…

Always loved Boycott’s - ‘corridor of uncertainty’

I used that when I was discussing roast potatoes on national radio. The trick is to boil them to the fine point of being ever so slightly fluffy around the edges. I said "its the corridor of uncertainty".

Pretty sure nobody got it

'The fans were terrific'

'The boss had a word at half-time.'

'We've worked on that in training.'
