They will and the company is likely to get stronger in the coming years, I think the CEO is on for a £100m payday this year, mostly in stock. He's done a great job since covid turning it around. One of my ex colleagues who had worked there for 20 years had a silly amount of shares when they were super low, he must be sitting on a 7 figure gain.

The share issues they did was ridiculous. I was there for 15 years, including post COVID and they were handing out share bonus to the leadership at ridiculous below market rates, replaced pay rises for management with LTIPs and just gifting shares. We were livid at the time, but slightly less so now...

too tight to sell, can't bear to face the tax bill so sitting on it.  End up taking the shares to the grave at this rate.

Ugh it's a mess. Won't bore you with my own finances but some were awarded through bonuses, share purchase schemes, LTIPs and some were just from pay. Bits I could put into the ISA are there but it wasn't a huge %. Don't get me wrong, it's not exsctly the worst problem to have.

A lot seem to suspect the stock market will suffer tomorrow

10pm will give a good indication as the asian markets open.

Even with current affairs, if you have a diverse enough portfolio some will drop but others will sky rockets. Defence companies, oil commodities etc.

Investments in iranian bunkers for heads of state I expect will fall dramatically.

Nothing to see here.

The markets are already desensitized. Trump has numbed it to the point where it's mostly expected.

Did anybody make anything on any oil or shipping stocks?

I made a bit on Battalion oil - unfortunately only put £50 in but doubled my money. Always regret not putting more in when it soars but I have picked my fair share of plums too.

Speaking of plums, I'm sooo in the red on EEE 😂. I have faith in it long term though.

Average 3% dip on the markets today.

Wonder how long Trump will run this before his friends ask him to stop

Airline stocks taking a hit today, anyone buying the dip? If so, which have you gone for?

Is that right? Wow, that's a banker to buy that dip. I'll look into if there are funds but any big European carriers -  IAG, Lufthansa, KLM are the obvious safe bets for me. Especially IAG as they are locked into the (safer) south America market with Iberia.

Sitting on a loss with AIG but it's a solid company so not that bothered.

Long term and all that.

Would pump more in if I had any faith in that tw@t Trump not doing any further damage

Suspect it’s due to open market jet fuel having gone up 70% “cos Iran” most larger airlines will hedge it well in advance. I think I saw Wizz air have issued a £50m profit warning off the back of it.

Buy the dip

IAG bought. 14% down on its ytd high. Gotta be better realistic that that'll be flawed back over next 18 months (at worst)

What made you pick IAG out from the crowd, out of interest?
