Way better in the second half but all in all a deserved victory for Genk. Although it could've been different had that chance from Henry gone in at 1-1.

....did not see the game but the thought that we can hold on to a lead is wishful thinking!!!

We have had very good leads and struggled to come out with points and you are never comfortable watching this team as their games are so open. Next season will be interesting to see if we approach games differently but I can't see that we will be a team that can dictate a game where we can stifle a game or take the pace out of a match when it is called for.

It's been the same story with his last few loans. The problem must lie with him.

This afternoon 9th placed OH Leuven face 16th placed Cercle Brugge, where 3 points could help Leuven up to 6th in the league. Cercle Brugge need a result today to help in their fight against relegation, with them being just 1 point above the relegation zone.

 

Cercle Brugge have won 2 of their last 5 games in all competitions, with a 2-1 at home to Beerschot in the league last time out. Their best player so far this season (with 10+ league appearances) has been centre back Jean Marcelin who has a current WhoScored rating of 6.90 this season.

 

Last time these two met in the league was in December, where Leuven won 2-1 with goals from Sowah and Henry. They also met in the cup in February where Cercle Brugge came out 3-2 winners, with Leuvens goals scored by Maertens and Hubert.

Clearly our players want this season to end next week. They have no desire to compete in the playoffs.

 

Hopefully our board keeps this in mind when they're building a squad for next season!!!!
