Rustynail Posted 10 September 2020 Posted 10 September 2020 I get the feeling that we're going to go back to the tried and tested formula of 4-1-4-1 / 4-3-3 till we can get our injured players back and new signings bedded in. Schmeichel Justin / Castagne Soyuncu Ndidi Thomas / Castagne Mendy Albrighton Praet Tielemans Barnes Vardy As for the subs, it could be anyone...
dannythefox Posted 10 September 2020 Posted 10 September 2020 Maddison starts this one comes off on 60 minutes 👌🏻

SpacedX Posted 10 September 2020 Posted 10 September 2020 Wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to see two DMs for this one.
SheppyFox Posted 11 September 2020 Posted 11 September 2020 Kasper Justin Morgan Soyuncu Castagne Barnes Ndidi Tielemans Gray Ayoze Vardy
leicesterseddon Posted 11 September 2020 Posted 11 September 2020 Obviously the first big question is who will partner Soyuncu at CB. Personally I’d be surprised to see him go with Ndidi. Presuming Morgan & Fuchs are injured, it has to be Benkovic surely? Second question is over the fullbacks. Justin will play, but which side? I’d say likely combo is Justin on the right and Thomas on the left. Castagne probably on the bench. Midfield probably Ndidi/Tielemans/Praet, Barnes on the left wing. Who plays on the right? No idea. Perez? Albrighton? Vardy up front. Maybe Iheanacho alongside if we drop a midfielder. I think we should have enough, but who knows tbh. Pre-season has been a disaster for us frankly.

Justin reminds me of Simpson only with an attacking inclination. Solid, but more mobile. Castagne can play at either full back position but I gather that he is right footed. He also offers us options in midfield. Thomas has a huge opportunity but also a massive responsibility hanging over him. The potential is clear, but so is the inexperience. I sincerely hope that our unforgiving fanbase don't turn him into a scapegoat like Chilwell. 5 hours ago, leicesterseddon said: Obviously the first big question is who will partner Soyuncu at CB. Nick Posted 12 September 2020 Posted 12 September 2020 ......................Kasper ...........Justin Soyuncu Fuchs Castagne.................................Thomas .........................Ndidi .....Tielemans....Madders....Barnes .........................Vards Following the press conference I'm wondering now if Fuchs and Madders will play... Doesn't look the strongest back 3 but if Fuchs doesn't play it'll be Morgan or Wilf in the middle - maybe he'll set out like the above?
Hales Posted 12 September 2020 Posted 12 September 2020 I have a sneaky suspicion Madders will play. He didn't outright say he wasn't so I think he is playing and just keeping team selection quiet. I think Ndidi may well play at the back until Evan's is back as he has options to cover Ndidi more than Evans. I don't believe Morgan should play, he is too injury prone and slow and we need to kick off the season well
