Leicester_Loyal Posted 8 September 2020 Posted 8 September 2020 If two of the three test positive then surely our game will be called off? Still playing this Nations League was absolutely stupid and it just shows the levels of stupidity that we have at the top of sport, or more likely that they only give a shit about the yankee dollar £££. We could potentially have 7 or 8 of our first 11 out of action

The government have said people can’t be exempt from quarantine if they test negative at an airport as they could test negative and then get the virus after. I wouldn’t be so sure.

Personally I always thought professional athletes were exempt from such rules during the season because the regularity they are tested.

Maybe, we will see. It definitely has potential to cause mass disruption either way. I guess it makes sense with squads not isolating when 1 person tests positive.

Yes because they’re an elite sportsperson. As long as they test negative they’re fine.
Lambert09 Posted 8 September 2020 Posted 8 September 2020 No DJ, Dewsbury-Hall, Knight or Daley Campbell with the Under 23's. Would expect that means they are in contention for the first team squad
escape2victory Posted 9 September 2020 Posted 9 September 2020 Let’s go and dominate the ball: Schmeichel Justin Ndidi Soyuncu Mendy Castagne Tielemans Praet Albrighton Perez Vardy

justfoxes Posted 9 September 2020 Posted 9 September 2020 I’m sure Vardy will be going for his usual Stunning goal against the Baggies unfortunately no fans for him to wind up unless he does it to the Camera !!

I wonder, just how much money was made by playing this ridonkulously scheduled game? I gave up watching England FC years ago, but I do agree with your comments regarding the decision taken by the bods responsible. I understand and respect the England fans interest and it would have gained a following, but really? like, big viewing numbers? big interest? I'm unsure.
Nick Posted 9 September 2020 Posted 9 September 2020 Not what I want but what I suspect will happen may look a little like this? ......................Kasper ..........Justin Benkovic Soyuncu Castagne.................................Thomas .........................Ndidi .....Tielemans....Madders....Barnes .........................Vards If Maddison comes out of the U23 game okay, I think he may play on Sunday but if not it'll be Praet in Madders place or Albrighton/Gray on the right and Youri more central.
Raw Dykes Posted 9 September 2020 Posted 9 September 2020 Kasper Castagne Ndidi Soyuncu Justin Mendy Tielemans Praet Perez Vardy Barnes Subs: Ward, Morgan (or maybe Knight), Thomas, Choudhury, Albrighton, Gray, Iheanacho Not sure if Castagne will go straight into the team. I guess Thomas will take his place if not.
chapero82 Posted 9 September 2020 Posted 9 September 2020 When is the cut off time for a new transfer being able to play?

Sampson Posted 9 September 2020 Posted 9 September 2020 I thought Morgan, Benkovic and Maddison were all injured but people keep putting them in their team? Haven't seen the latest, are the considered likely to play now?
majaco Posted 9 September 2020 Author Posted 9 September 2020 Is it too late for any new signings for this game now?

HybridFox Posted 9 September 2020 Posted 9 September 2020 Got to give Benkovic a go in my opinion. If he can't get in the starting XI with the current injury crisis, then I don't see when he will

Has anyone expressed any excitement for sunday yet? I'm excited about the game. I am hoperehensive about it. I am often hoperehensive about Leicester games because I get mixed up. I hope we somehow play as a cohesive unit and we see some of the strengths of the team. I am apprehensive because of us being short of a player or two I the squad but more relevant badly affected by injury and suspension. I am concerned about the centre back next to Soyuncu; if Knight plays I will be urging him to have a solid, assured 90. IF N'didi is c.b., I will be be nervous about our midfield. If we are going to have a good season, I believe Barnes needs to kick on. A confident goal scoring game from him could set up the season nicely. We should start with at least 6 from our best 11 pre Christmas. I hope it's enough. I'm off to email the Oxford English Dictionary about my new word.

It's such a Rodgers type word as well, if he uses it in his pre-match interview, give yourself a pat on the back. I know what you mean, it's all up in the air. Ndidi's starting position will be a big indicator to our situation.
