The most fortunate footballer I can remember. Broke into the team from the academy when we had about 6 injuries at LB. All the stars aligned for him. 

 

He has stolen a living as a professional footballer ever since. He never looks up to the level of the league he's playing in, and that includes League 1!

Having noticed his inability to play passes at full-back, we now appear to have moved him to some sort of position to the left of centre midfield and, incredibly, he still cannot pass.

He was in the departure lounge from the very first relegation of 2023 and Enzo came in and one of his first actions was to identify this lad was not good enough nor did he had the profile for how we play, fast forward 3/4 seasons and here we are, he is still here and not only that, he has been rewarded with a new 4 year contract and yet he looks as far away from what we need at LB as he ever did. 
 

He along with Hamza encapsulates everything that has gone or is wrong at our football club. Rewarding squad filler players with handsome contracts and being stuck with them well overdue their sell by date. And we wonder why the culture is rotten at the club.

Honestly he and others keep plumbing to new depths, one of the pass backs direct to their attacking midfielder. The boys a champion at ball watching and standing off for crosses.

I saw James Corden play left back in a charity game at the KP, I think we should take another look at him.

Say what you like about Maresca, but he knew immediately that Thomas and Souttar were garbage and couldn’t wait to shift them out on loan

This McFarlane from Man City has to play over him. I’ve not even seen him play, but he’s from an organisation where the whole club is geared to play in a similar way which automatically makes him a better option than Thomas.

Never called Luke called a bully personally as I don’t have any evidence of that.

Calling him sh*t and unprofessional is fair play however and people do have years worth of evidence of that. Known Luke since he grew up on Goodes Avenue and went to Wreake. Seen him in the Grosvenor on many occasion and hear he’s a heavy user of the Pub in Kirby Muxloe from many many people. You cannot honestly tell me that Luke is “professional”. If I’d have had access to the facilities he’d had access to I would not be that slow, that weak, would try and learn to kick with my right foot and not just play a cut back with my left foot at every bloody opportunity. We are talking six years here mate he’s been in the team. SIX YEARS. It’s a scandal and needs something doing about it. I don’t think he’s a bad lad but others are right he needs hounding out of the club. People with unprofessionalism like him are like a cancer. Hear that he and Page are attending some restaurant in Mountsorrel on Weds - I’d be lying low if I were him.

Look as I’ve said before I’m not here to defend him, if that’s the reputation he has then that’s on him. There a difference between going out for a meal and having a drink over being in the pub all night wasted isn’t there?

Is it likely to make them play better? it’s the same as booing our own players on to the pitch it’s embarrassing. I get the frustration I’m a fan too and I get booing them off. I just don’t get what this achieves but maybe this is just my view. 
 

Luke has played under various managers and continues to be selected, why is that?. We’ve had around 7 managers haven’t we? The exception is Enzo who doesn’t play a LB and did the same with Chillwell at Chelsea.

I think it might have something to do with how poor our managers have been mate.

We won the Championship - our one successful season of recent times - when this lad was absolutely nowhere near the side. 
 

He was soundly rejected by two loan clubs when both were below us at the time because he wasn’t good enough.
 

Better offer him another 5 year contract.
