6-3 win for Hendry then, still making Jimmy his bitch after all these years lol

After all the pain Hendry caused him in World Championship finals, tonight’s result could see Jimmy getting relegated from the tour, he’ll now be relying on a good few players to lose their next matches.

I think he's safe as he's done ok on the one year list?

The diamond of Dublin Ken Doherty currently 3-1 up at the mid sesh, battle of the oldies coming up for him against Nigel Bond if he wins today

A very complicated process.

He currently stands in 6th, but a win in the first round of qualifiers earns 5,000, a win in second round earns 10,000, then 15,000 and so on.

He is only 2,000 ahead of 9th place, and there’s a good handful of others who aren’t far behind him either.

He needs a miracle tbf.

Ah fair enough, yeah very complicated. Will be disappointing to lose him from the tour as hes played some decent stuff in patches this year, but if you don't make the cut you don't make the cut

The final of the World Championship is set to be played in front of a capacity crowd at the Crucible Theatre in May.

The return of fans will be staggered throughout the event, with the venue in Sheffield starting at 33% capacity.

World Snooker says face coverings will be required in the venue but social distancing "will not be expected" as the number of fans increases.

The final two days of the 2020 championship were played in front of a limited number of spectators.

The tournament is part of the government's pilot scheme to ensure fans can safely return to sporting and cultural venues.

The venue will operate at 33% capacity for the first round of matches between 17-21 April before increasing to 50% for the second round.

The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played in front of a 75% capacity crowd.

Fans will be required to take a Covid-19 test before arriving and another five days afterwards.

No under-18s, vulnerable adults or pregnant women will be allowed to attend.

Shit night from the Leicester lads.

Nice jinx from @Nalis as Tom Ford loses 6-4 to Chang Bingyu. O’Connor loses another close match, 6-5 to Milkins.

Afternoon session was a cracker though, all four matches went to a decider. Zhou Yuelong produced a fantastic clearance of 73 to make it 5-5, then made a match winning break of 71 in the decider, ballsy Snooker.

Selby will be left flying the flag for Leicester, as per usual.

O’Connor, Heathcote and Woollaston all lost in deciders :(

Feeling your pain - my countryman Jordan Brown lost on a decider after being 3 nil ahead.

With the exception of the Pro Series he hasnt won a match since winning the Welsh Open, which makes me fear that was just a one off for him after all.

Enjoyed the coverage on youtube , it works well with the final day qualifiers. I like the Brazilian guy and shame he didnt qualify, wore his heart on his sleeve and only started playing snooker at 32! Hope for the rest of us yet.

Main draw is this morning.

Second quarter looks interesting, tough for Selby. Wilson v Wilson is bit of a nightmare for a commentator.

Always do a separate thread for the World Champs mate, apologies.

It's one thing getting out the snooker like that, but to get the pot too is madness.

That’s his pool background coming into play. Can’t believe how much he’s come on these last two years. Great lad as well.
