Didn’t know of this incident though, makes this match even more awkward.

 

Wouldn’t be surprised if one of them pulls out.

Just got tickets for the shoot out in January in Leicester.  Only £7.50

Some interesting matches to be played today, including the much talked about grudge match between ex partners Mark Allen and Reanne Evans.

 

Selby v Murphy the best of the first round ties. Also oldies Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry and Ken Doherty in action.

Frolesworth mate, near Broughton Astley. He's been there a while now and seems really settled and he regularly attends do's in the village. Just a normal bloke apparently with no ego.

Lots of spice and edge to the atmosphere, with Reanne refusing the handshake at the start of the match.

I fully expect this to be an easy 3-0, and Allen to just blank her and walk out at the end now. 

 

She isn't really good enough to be given a card, even if she is ladies World Champion.

Even if she was good enough, the blanking him at the start showed she'd let the situation get to her head, and isn't treating it like a normal match, whereas Allen, by offering the hand is showing he isn't going to let it play on his mind. She needs to just treat it like she's playing anyone else on tour.

She reminds me of a decent club player but thats it. Potting is decent but her positioning is bloody awful, that break of 30 something sums her whole game up.

 

Saying that, reckon snooker gives scope for decent female players in the future so maybe the idea is that she is a role model for young prospective female players.

Also, it would be hilarious if Allen offered a handshake at the end again in the full knowledge that he'll get ignored again just to make her look more like the villain.

Her professional stats are pretty damning.

164 matches and lost 106 of them. 34% win rate, and only two centuries in her entire career, her highest break being 118. And pretty much all of these are against other women too. 

 

I know players in my local league who have had higher breaks than that in matches/tournaments.
