Have we not got other priorities? Are the club likey to spend even more anyway without one big sale, because history would tend to suggest not. A 4th expensive centre half is not required. With Soumare and the return of Barnes, Justin and Maddison, there's no requirement to continue anyway with a back 3. A tactical change is better than blowing 20m+ and several millions on wages. If we continue with a back three there's little chance anyway of making 4th place and Champions League football anyway because we've been playing piss poor with those tactics for quite a while now which were quite possibly only employed out of perceived necessity, albeit that's obviously subjective on here. If we don't make it to 4th this season I predict a mass exodus and need for a total rebuild, so it's essential to spend what funds there are wisely and not collecting players for collectings sake. Surely a player wide right would be a more pressing requirement? 1

Surely a player wide right would be a more pressing requirement? ....definitely........!!! We do not know how much the club has budgeted to spend in this window, FFP has taken a break, revenue from shirt sponsors and perhaps some money which would have been earmarked to cover Under's acquisition, had his loan option worked out. I understand where you are coming from as regard the additional Centre Back but we do not want to see the sight of what we ended up, having to patch up a defence in the manner which we did. Rotation, rotation, rotation!!! For me we need the Right Wing to be covered once and for all, with someone who predominantly place that position and not just versatile with the ability to cover. 1

sacreblueits442 Posted 2 June 2021 Posted 2 June 2021 ....reminds me of an athletic younger Wes Morgan....he loves a block!!! Looks like he loves to defend as opposed to something he is very good at.
Dahnsouff Posted 2 June 2021 Posted 2 June 2021 The St.Juste thing was more a reference to the article about Tah being available (and Leverkusen would replace him with St.Juste) Would have imagined we may be looking for experience rather than another younger guy. Admittedly, he is 24 so not Fofana young...

I love defending, Benkovic Youtube video had a lot of him and his recovery play, £15m for him and we are good for the defence.
Sly Posted 3 June 2021 Posted 3 June 2021 I see we were linked again this morning. This one won’t go away.
North Leeds Fox Posted 3 June 2021 Posted 3 June 2021 Would help us towards conceding less at set pieces as he is good in the air. He is also very solid with the ball at his feet but his mobility would be a concern. Would prefer someone like bade but he could be a good signing as long as the fee wasn't north of 20m and it didn't prevent us investing in a right winger or another attacking player.

80footgiraffe Posted 3 July 2021 Posted 3 July 2021 Very Wes in style and strength, would be a great rotation option for around £10/12 million. Daka, Soumare, Bertrand, Tah and a new winger (Berardi 🤞🏼) would be so solid, really astute signings that improve on outgoing players and overall squad depth. A+ window if it all comes off 1
