Poor from the club yet again, they're "in discussions" on a number of things but as mentioned already it wouldn't hurt to have put an update out.

Just shows how out of touch they are that they think people wait for ticket info before booking flights etc.

Problem is going to be when the club put the season ticket bands on line. They really should be having a wider range of points especially for this game and not mess around like they did for Warsaw by reducing the number of points by small amounts especially like they did for members.

I was one of ‘the Moscow 25’ and when we did our training ground tour last week the amount of people working for the club who seemed perplexed at how quickly we’d been able to sort visas after the ticket announcement was very telling (so many times we got asked “so how did you manage to sort your visas so quickly to go?”).

I said to my old man that it just clearly hadn’t crossed their mind that we might have sorted travel and visas prior to any ticket information. They were almost astounded at the thought of anything other than we waited for ticket news and then decided to go. A few of them expressed their shock at seeing any fans in the away end at all.

We need some actual fans working for the club and people who are passionate about the club, at the minute it feels like 99% of them couldn’t give a shit about the club or the fans.

Must be the players running it then!

I thought they had a fans forum where fans discuss with club representatives about how the club is being run or am I wrong. Who is on this forum would be interesting to know and what is discussed, the ticket situation should be top of the agenda as it has been a joke for seasons now.

These have not really taken place for a little while now.

Hate to be that 'Bundesliga' person but you know they have to appoint an independent SLO who is employed by the league as opposed to the club.

It's hardly surprising. The club's appreciation of fan culture is at an all time low in my opinion. No Leicester fans in senior roles taking it's toll.

Starting to think I might not even get a ticket for this because they're planning to leave it late enough that they won't open it up to all STH.

Don’t think getting a ticket will be the issue. A tiny allocation and/or a lockdown will be the main problem. Europe starting to fall to lockdown restrictions one by one.

Yeah, Italy's government are considering a raft of restrictions. It may go the way of unvaccinated not being allowed to attend events. Certain areas of the country are about to hit this. Thankfully Campania is not there yet

Understood. That’s good to know re Italy, yeh when boris got quoted as saying ‘it will be easier to live your life restriction free if you get your booster’ or whatever it was I went to the nearest walk in centre and got my booster jab there and then. It looks like an inevitability now

Football clubs are odd organisations in that they design for the customers they think they want, as opposed to the customers they actually have, as ‘brand loyalty’ is a completely different beast when it comes to football clubs and fans.

:appl:

Man City got their trip to Leipzig on sale. No word from Chelsea @ Zenit or Liverpool @ Milan.

Funnily enough the Operations guy who took us around on the tour talked about not having fans working for the club almost being the preferred approach because they “don’t get too high when we win and don’t get too low when we lose”. He said they wanted people who were the best at what they do regardless of who they support.

I think I agree with him to be fair. But that’s not to say that those at the top of the club shouldn’t understand the fan point of view better. If an Apple or a Tesco were as out of touch with their customers then they’d not be half as big as they are.

This is interesting. In general they seem to get the majority of things right, but ticket info is top of the list of repeat calamity. More fans at the club in employed roles would help that as well as improving other areas, shame to hear they steer away from that.  I think a dedicated push from all of us for more consultations and feedback is the way ahead. It's so easy now with smartphones, you could literally fill out a survey everyday on the bog about whatever.
