I know super green pitches can sometimes be a bit of a red herring but what this one would like has hardly been a secret. It's been all over Twitter for the past two days. Like you say, it would absolutely have been worth playing him.

I know there's got to be some consistency and we did have a tendency to bin players (usually younger) off after a few bad games. However I think we can safely say some of the alternatives at county level couldn't be much worse, especially with a tour of the West Indies and a home summer to let them settle in.

 

Also I'm not a huge fan of Lawrence from his international career so far but how hasn't he been played at least once?

Is this where we bowl the Aussies out for not much but still manage to lose easily ?

Let be honest if they get anything more then 100 in the second inns we aren't getting it.

 

We would make hard work of chasing anything over 150.
