Dewsbury-Hall genuinely seems to face up to the challenge. That's more than can be said for plenty of them. I just don't think is something Rodgers values at all and it's often his undoing.

I said this the other year when people were comparing this team to Ranieri's, and saying how this team would beat that 15/16 team.

The 15/16 had so much reliance and so much about them. They wouldn't throw leads away like this team does.

Taggart

Remember when Brian Deane went through Wise at their place. Don't see that anymore. Probably the season before this as Taggart is in Stoke colours here.

Kasper’s kicking when we are under pressure is atrocious. Twice he put us right back under pressure when we needed him to be the calming presence. One of those kicks led to Soy stretching to block a shot.

I love Kasper. A legend here but shouting and screaming doesn’t make you a captain. He has a few years left as a keeper and needs to concentrate on those. The question is who takes over as captain if it’s not Kasper - there isn’t an easy answer.

Tielemans - his future is up in the air and probably can’t pick up the armband while this remains.

Vardy - he’s enjoying the game, do we really want to give him the added pressure alongside being our poster boy and talisman.

Madders - he comes across so well in interviews but does he have the maturity to pick it up now when he is still working on his consistency.

Evans - too many injuries.

I don’t know if Wilf, Castagne or Soy holds enough influence to carry the armband.

The above emphasises our problems when the going gets tough. We just don’t have enough leaders in this team.

I'm surprised people are saying Tielemans.

For me he's had a season of 33% genius and running the show, 33% being anonymous and 33% outright poor and his head completely gone. Both the past 2 seasons him going missing in the run-ins has also been one of the reasons we've faltered.

He's never captain material. FA Cup final aside he goes missing in the big matches when he's most needed more often than not

We also bottled two too 4 finishes with him in and around the squad. Rodgers is a bottler manager

Totally agree, i dont think its all on him but his natural instinct is foot off the throttle and defend at all costs, last nights collapse was predicted and felt inevitable, this mentality must be transmitted to the lads on the pitch who would start to feel like they're likely to lose a match despite being 2 goals up (how many times this season)?

We are weak in a pressure situation tbh and other teams know it, sadly it seems "foxes never fight".

But then if you're going to rely on mercenaries like the truly awful Bertrand what do you expect?

We would have won this comfortably without our "world class" manager's  crass decisions...... AGAIN.
