Just read Dewsbury-Hall was born in Nottingham.

Also, Richard Smith needs to be at centre-back, purely for this iconic moment 30 years ago today.

He’s lived his whole life in Shepshed though

@Manwell PabloStearman is from Wolverhampton. Didn’t he release something when he joined them stating they were his hometown club etc

Like Cardiff said he was born there I’m pretty sure he came through Leicestershire football.

I guess it depends on what your strict criteria is.

Wikipedia says Dewsbury-Hall was born in Nottingham…

QMC in Nottingham is the same distance from Shepshed (where Dewsbury- Hall has lived his entire life) as the LRI, assuming he was born their.

Leicestershire is unusual in the sense that the closest hospitals to a lot of the large towns are outside the county, so loads of people from Leicestershire won’t have it on their birth certificate

You are gutted if you are Leicester but don’t have it on your passport.

I played for Linden team which won the championship in the 1959/60 season.

This Linden team generated over 1,000 English league appearances and 74 international caps from Marc Joseph and Emile Heskey...

I'm biased as he's a good mate of mine but super Matt Heath deserves a place in the line up.

No, his ridiculous own goal at home to Ipswich still haunts me.

The best, worst own goal I have ever seen.

Corker of an OG lol

Every time I see it in a highlights reel etc it makes me laugh out loud.

2-1 up, last minute defending a cross (corner?) he could easily head clear but he inexplicably turns towards his own goal and bullets a header top corner of his own net. Superb finish.

I really hated that pub.

I had a Saturday job at Woolco. Used to drink there at lunch time . Happy, youthful memories of the place.
